Okay, look, there might be better, higher-end sushi restaurants out there. BUT, there are few places that have as extensive and as long of a happy hour as Naan. The fact that you can go there almost every hour of any day of the week (except a few dinner hours) and grab 1/2 price drinks, 1/2 price appetizers, and 1/2 price sushi is awesome. $3 bottomless mimosas on Sunday? Unheard of. It's absolutely amazing that I can walk into this nice restaurant in one of the most expensive parts of Dallas, drop $15 bones and have decent sushi, some great drinks, and great service from a professional and fun wait staff is awesome. I consider it a bonus treat that the owner of the joint is a hilarious character who will often pay your table a visit to chat.

We were 4 people, we got a boat filled with random sushi and sashimi the chef has selected. It was pretty good.

We love Sushi and decided to try this place the other night on a whim and went in without a reservation. We were told we'd have a 30-40 minute wait or we could go eat at the bar, which my wife and I stepped over to the side for a few seconds to discuss if we wanted to wait. We decided we could have a couple drinks at the bar and wait for a table and I stepped back over to the hostess who said it'd be about a 40-45 minute wait. What? She had just quoted a different time 30 seconds ago. This should have set off warning flags. Over an HOUR AND A HALF later we finally got a table. I checked in with our hostess after about an hour of waiting, who stated, "Yeah I said about 45 minutes". I rebutted that yes, that's fine...but it'd been more than that. I've never been at a restaurant where I ended up waiting OVER DOUBLE the stated wait time. That's just bad service. If you quote someone a time you at least want to get them a table on time if not BEFORE so that they'll be happy with waiting less than they were expecting. The food itself was good. Not great, but still enjoyable. A bit pricey for the quality, but I wouldn't complain if the service hadn't been so bad. Our waiter was friendly and did good, but only bothered to fill our normal drinks once the entire time. The bartender was very good with us, where we ordered a roll and some drinks as appetizer. We were very happy with the bar's service. So the initial service we got form the bar is the only reason I'd give this a 2 star rating and not a 1. We just wish we had just ate at the bar and not decided to wait on a table. Still doubt we'll be back.

I have to agree with the reviews that I read while waiting at the bar for over 45 minutes (after being told that we would be seated in 15 minutes). The service absolutely sucks. The rude ginger hostess (who incidentally is a liar) told us after we went back to inquire how much longer the wait was that we would be seated shortly. Since I suspected that wasn't the case I asked another hostess- and she told me it was unlikely that we would be seated anytime soon. She suggested the sushi bar. Just tell me what is a realistic wait time that one can expect! If the wait is 45 minutes- tell me up front. This little game of cat and mouse only makes me feel as if they deliberately deceive so that customers feel like they have already waited so long they may as well stay because they feel like they have invested their time. Don't treat your customers so deceivingly and maybe take a hint from the 30+ negative reviews?

The service is HORRIBLE. We got our food before he brought my friend her glass of wine that she ordered as soon as we sat down. (over 30 minutes) The server could have cared less about us. The food was better than the Plano Naan but it's still not great. Will not be back.

Tempura was inconsistent, the Spicy Tuna roll was filled with ground up mush, and the Devil roll was so oily and not spicy. I was gagging after dinner from the oilyness, easily my worst sushi experience ever.
