Hydrophobic Magic Sand
Magic sand is ordinary sand that has been coated with trimethylsilanol, a compound that makes it resistant to water. The result is a hydrophobic sand that can be used in all sorts of interesting ways. This substance was originally developed for use in the cleanup of oil spills, but it has come to be used as a children's toy and educational tool instead. Many stores that sell science-orientated kid's toys stock it.
Because this sand resists water, it performs very strangely when exposed to it. The individual grains tend to stick together in the water, creating blocks that can be molded into various shapes. When scattered lightly across the surface of water, the sand will stick together and form a thin layer that will eventually get too heavy to float, sinking slowly to the bottom. This sand also appears slightly silvery underwater, thanks to the bubble of air that forms around the granules.
When lifted out of the water, the sand is perfectly dry and free-flowing. People who grew up playing with this product may remember how mesmerizing the mysterious substance was, as the seemingly solid underwater shapes would dissolve instantly when pulled out.

Bought a Thl W8s last december, it fell, digitizer broke. Dropped a mail to +Chinavasion Electronics claiming how can
I buy a replacement digitizer. They responded that this is not covered by warranty and they don't sell spares, but I can buy another phone if I wish. Funny, eh? Proposed 1 year
warranty period without real possibility to get a phone fixed?
Then I went to http://www.thlmobilestore.com (official destributor) to buy some spares, they also responded that they don't have spare parts.
Cool. Found then http://thlmobilemall.com where I could order the digitizer.
F@ck how lame I was, I didn't even care that it uses http://lovopay.com's payment service instead of the advertised PayPal.
Payed the price, now I can't reach http://thlmobilemall.com via their
support email, http://lovopay.com doesn't provide any support interface neither (to reclaim my money).
Finally dropped a mail to http://en.thl.com.cn ("the" company) requesting information whether http://thlmobilemall.com is their official distributor or not and how can they have so crap
support.
Guess what, no response from them either.
#facepalm
Moral of the story? Think twice before you buy any Thl branded
Chinese phone.
