Let me start with I love Pei Wei, I just don't like THIS Pei Wei. I went in to place an order to take out tonight about 30 mins before closing. The HS or college student who took my order stopped chatting with his friend (a coworker), rudely asks what I want, barks if that was it, I pause to think and he closes it out and gives me my total. He then goes back to joke with his buddy. It was obvious that me being there was interrupting his social hour. When I go to grab my soda from their fancy beverage dispenser (those cool touch screen ones) that normally has dozens of options I see they only have 5 options available, 1 of which is water. As he packs up my order his buddy had already stopped working for the night and another person who was cooking sets some food up on the counter and says its his that he is taking home. There were still other people waiting to have their food made so making your complimentary meal 15 mins before your shift ends with paying customers waiting is unacceptable. The managers here need to retrain their staff.

intersting atmosphere and good food:) most reviews seem negative, but iAm here and the place is completely full! I guess some people always look for the negative, those are never pleased. i enjoyed my visit and am happy to return.Paz+> although, NVM; the volumn and selection of music are key and vital and should be more condiderate as discerning especially since I go to enjoy myself, not feel like I am at a "Club"...Gracias")

Along with the extremely overpriced, very small entrees, this restaurant never fails to make a mistake with almost every one of my orders. The food is occasionally burnt or even raw and service is SLOW. Typical wait time is around 20-30 minutes in all of my experiences here. Often my take-out order has been forgotten about I have to go up to the counter a second time only for them to remember to give me my already prepped and bagged order that has been sitting out for fifteen minutes. To top it all off, my last visit here was about two weeks ago and I was charged for a second time yesterday, although I hadn't returned to the restaurant. The account manager I spoke to about getting a refund was extremely rude and required me to provide a bank statement to prove that I had been charged twice simply because he couldn't find my Visa transaction in the two minutes he spent looking for it. I will most definitely never be returning to this restaurant.

The food is laughably bad and extremely overpriced for the amount you get. My $10 mongolian beef meal came with 7 pieces of extremely burnt meat and it sat there for 20 minutes on the counter before the cashier finally decided to give it to me. To top it all off my girlfriend was charged twice for her meal and when we called in to correct it, the person on the phone "couldn't find the extra charge" and insisted that our own bank statement was incorrect. We will never be coming back and will be making it a point to dissuade our friends from going as well.

This place continues to get worse as time goes by. Service is extremely poor, and I am being modest. They have HS and College kids running the place and it shows. Dirty, unfriendly, and bad attitudes define the environment of this place. Here's the summary of my last visit: There were 4 people behind me at the time I placed my order; all 4 people that ordered after me got their food first, and the waiter never even apologized to me for the delay, as she knew that I was skipped (my order took 35 minutes, so much for fast food concept). I ordered a simple Pei Wei spicy chicken dish with brown rice, got 5 pieces of chicken and one of them was all fat, as if I was chewing on a piece of blubber. My visit prior to this (about 6 months before this visit) was not much better. Overall, Pei Wei does offer good food, but the Boulder location is the worst location of all. Golden and Highlands Ranch are better choices if you are in the area.

I've been there twice in the past month. The first time the food was great and neatly prepared, although I have noticed that it stays pretty cold inside the restaurant. The second time was not the best experience. As I was ordering, the manager came up and yelled loud enough to nearly stop every one in the diner. You could see that the hostess had been crying too, it was wildly inappropriate for the manager to act out this way. When I received my food, it was messy and hardly had any sauce because it was dripping off the dish drastically. I'm not sure if I would come back again.

I love the concept and I think the atmosphere is really nice. I've eaten there many times over the past years since they opened. I have to say that it has slipped in recent years, ever since they shrunk up their portions. DON'T order an appetizer if you want it to come out first, in the last three times that I ordered the pork roll appetizer it came out after my meal and twice literally seconds before my meal. The last time was the clincher for me, I ordered the caramel chicken and it came out raw. I asked for my money back and left the restaurant. That was the last straw for me. Was surprised that the manager didn't try to apologize, just handed me the cash and out the door I went. That was my last visit to Pei Wei.
