We went with a large group (11) and expected service to take a bit longer due to it, but it was absolutely ridiculous. It took us 3.5 hours to get through the meal - people were literally falling asleep. Our server would disappear for 20-30 mins at a time while our drinks would go dry. Additionally he was very intrusive - often times hitting your shoulder as he reached directly in front of your face to retrieve an empty glass, and forcibly reaching under the table to adjust the temperature. The food quality has definitely gone down hill over the past few years, and the price has trended in the opposite direction. I don't mind paying for a good meal - but this an exceptionally expensive meal for the low quality ingredients they use. A lot of the vegetables were still half frozen, which isn't conducive to keeping a fondue pot up to temperature. They would end up sitting in a few inches of water as they continued to thaw on the table. Two of the cheese fondues were not prepared correctly, they were very oily. I complained to the manager when we were 2.5 hrs in and still were without entrees - he was dismissive, and then said he would "do something nice for us." The "something nice" was a $25 certificate for each couple towards our next visit. Appreciated, but will never get used.

In our backyard, so we decided to try it. Food was good although portions were not large. Nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly and explained all of the options. Yes, it is a bit pricey, considering the portions. We may be back but not necessarily right away.

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't even close to good enough to justify the $90 bill for two for just the food. Then there's of course the drinks and the 18% gratuity charge that they add to your bill by default. All the staff was extremely pleasant and the atmosphere was excellent but it just didn't make up for the so-so food. No wonder there were only around 3 tables in use at 6:00pm on a Friday.

Staff is okay, but the menu is WAY overpriced for the food. The fondue appetizer is made with low quality cheese you can buy at the supermarket for a few bucks. I do not go in a restaurand for that. The salads are very small, but still 7$. They are not even that good. The entrees are good, but VERY expensive. About $30 each. I would only pay $10 for it, and I am usually not difficult when it comes to food. This restaurant is way too expensive.

After hearing raves about the food for two years we decided to try The Melting Pot. Unimpressed with its strip mall locale, we entered on a Saturday night expecting to wait for a table and found the place virtually empty. After being seated by a bubbly (yet air-headed) hostess, we waited nearly 15 minutes before we received any menus. I still believe our waiter spotted us by accident and was shocked to see there were live bodies in the place. After an eight-minute verbal rundown of the complex menu, I was left more confused and a little ticked off that it takes that much effort to order a meal!!! We left the waiter, bar tender, and hostess to enjoy each others' company and went down the road to a traditional restaurant where the first course is food and not a lesson in "how to order at the melted bucket".

There's not enough room to write everything I found wrong with this place. The most irritating fact is that we paid 160$ for two people to have a "5 course meal" that ended up being a meal with the first course shared amongst the two couples and the remaining courses shared within the couples. (The "choice" of shrimp cocktail or Bruschetta turned out to be a choice of 4 pieces of bread and 4 shrimp to share among the two couples!) They advertised 60$/person and that would lead most of us to believe we'd receive our own meals. The quality of the food was mediocre at best and not worth even a 20$ per person price. If I want crappy bread chunks dipped in cheese, I'll get a loaf at the super and melt some Velveeta
