Top notch coffee! Their mocha from Tcho is wonderful. Johnny Cakes from their weekend brunch menu were awesome. I enjoyed speaking with the barista and other staff. They were friendly and the barista was well versed in his trade. Their bean selection is wonderful, though the bags of beans were over priced.

The food was outstanding, flavor and presentation awesome. They're getting a bad review because of a health code flagrant violation. Two of the employees were handling money (what seemed to be tips) sat it on the prep table, dragged a loaf if bread thru the spot where the money had been sitting on the table, with the same hand that he handled the money he grabbed the loaf and proceeded to slice it. It was brought to the cashier's attention and he showed ver little concern. Unfortunately it is one of those cases where you may want to think twice about going back.

The baristas are always super friendly and relaxed. The parking here is tight but the coffee is more than with finding a spot on the street to park. Bathrooms are clean too. Always my preferred coffee spot when I'm the area too. I also appreciate that they have an Instagram acct that stays fresh.

Some of the best coffee in all of LA county is brewed by this little chain. Always recommend getting their mocha. When it comes to service, you can expect a bit of a wait, because every cup is brewed fresh, just for you. However, be warned: classic extremely hipster staff. I'm talking fedoras, vests, and gauges-not to mention a ton of attitude which you WILL get. However I try to ignore that and just focus on getting the coffee they're so well known for. PS-I don't care if you're on a diet, just buy one of their chocolate chip cookies. Trust me, you will thank me later.

Coffee is amazing. Parking is a bit difficult sometimes, but close street parking can be found. Staff is great.

Coffee is always worth the trip. The barista did an oustanding job. The person at the register...not so friendly.

Parking lot is small and it's crowded because it's good so expect that. Baristas are classically hipster and were sweet to us. We stood and watched them make our coffee and food and noticed the whole staff melds well together- when not taking an order or prepping food you can see staff straightening things, sweeping the floor, looking for ways to help each other, and just generally making sure everything is clean and looks good. Coffee was tasty, breakfast was tasty (side potatoes were SO crunchy, loved that), and the atmosphere was laid back and cool. Very happy to live nearby.

Surprisingly, the thing I like least about Coffee Commissary is the coffee. Got the "regular" cold brew coffee and it was flavorless and watered down (I've also had the "premium " cold brew coffee and its not much better). On the food front: My pastry was rock hard and virtually inedible; on the flip side the biscuits are light with the perfect amount of crunch (and the jam was tasty) and the fried chicken sandwich tasted great (though poorly constructed as it fell apart quickly)
