Check out these tips for cutting grass in hot weather and keeping it green. http://ow.ly/YXKp302D1a1
Turfgrass does better in the summer heat when you let it grow out a bit, since longer shoots mean deeper roots; a shaggy lawn also shades the soil, minimizing evaporation. Here's some tips for cutting grass from Consumer Reports.

Help keep your pets safe during storm season by taking care of the following items before bad weather strikes. http://ow.ly/Aw2o302qsPp
Be sure to include your pet(s) in your family's disaster plan. Often local shelters will not accept animals, so be sure to make plans ahead of time for your four-legged family members if there's a chance you may need to evacuate.

We had a water damage claim. After "their" restoration we still have moisture in the house that can still be measured. They said not to worry about this excess moisture. The initial amount that was designated for the claim can't even cover one fourth of the damage. Please stay clear of this company, it would probably be better to pay higher rates and have decent coverage and customer service than to deal with this company
Response from the owner - in the last week
Good afternoon Pamela- We're sorry to hear you're disappointed in your claim experience with Tower Hill and would like to look into this for you. Would you be willing to email us your claim or policy number and any further details to facebookhelp@thig.com?

You know when your insurance is good or bad, when there is a claim to be made and how they respond. 1)courteous and professional initial claim 2)respond time- immediately. Appraiser- call in less than an hour and was at my front door in 2 days 3) after aproval of qualified claim ( approx 3-4 days) check arrived in less than 10 days. This company is honest an reliable.I've heard of cheaper prices, but I'm glad I paid a bit more. Choose wisely. Oh and by the way to those that have gotten drop for making a claim, sorry for the negative experience, but i have made 2 claims and i just receive my renewal notice, so maybe I've been lucky or the company has made positive changes. Update 3/1/2016: just renewed and because my roof (witch Tower Hill replaced) got an additional discount. Witch means I paid this year a little less than last year. AWESOME. I have recommended this company to every homeowner i know.

I have never filed a claim. Yet rates seem to increase 9-14% each year. I will be dropping them this year. Rates are out of control. Myself as a consumer shall not be taken due to reinsurance issues on the companies behalf.

I recently had to go through a very weird homeowner's claim. Tower Hill handled this with courtesy, kindness and expertise. It was settled fairly and quickly. If you are looking for a great company to insure your home, you couldn't go wrong with Tower Hill.

Stay away from TOWER HILL You get what you pay for. Years ago I was asked to switch to tower hill. before they would cover the home... I needed to replace the roof. 5000$. Ok, I did my part. So now 6 years later I have a roof leak. They deny the claim due to preexisting damage on the drywall. I'm not sure how the drywall inside my home has anything to do with the roof leaking. I have 2 children that now have respiratory issues due to the mold in my attic. I'm disgusted how easily they can deny my claim. recap: paid for brand new roof, leak in newer roof, denied claim due to damage on drywall. I"m submitting a bathroom claim... I guess if they pay they will drop my coverage. If I could give 0 stars I would

On my 2nd year with Tower Hill I received a cancellation letter because I have a dog, a Shitzu mix with 12 lbs, and a trampoline on my back yard. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! (Apparently Tower Hill went to my house without notification to complete their inspection. At least we were not notified) It seems that Tower Hill Insurance wants my kids playing video games or watching TV only, instead of enjoying the outdoors and keeping them active and healthy by doing outdoor activities. Not good Tower Hill, not a great example of insurance for parents that do try to keep their kids active and healthy.

Worthless. Opened a claim based upon hail damage. Two neighbors also had damage as well. They received new roofs. Tower HIll closed the claim within a month without asking for any documentation from the homeowner's end. When offered, they said 'their expert' was all the documentation they needed. I had hail storm reports from NOAA showing direct impact over our home, pictures, a roof inspection, and a date of the storm. They love your money when you pay but will not honor their commitments. Now having to go civil.

How wonderful to have the force of Mother Nature give me a new roof! I never imagined such a thing. If you have had roof damage due to Mother Nature, its worth it to find out through a reputable roofing company.
