Whether  you are an author or other kind of small business owner, if you want to build your authority/credibility, this is a good outline of how to go about it.
While much of the advice on building authority is relevant and essential, it often overlooks how long-lasting authority is actually developed.

Excellent information and reality check if you are either A) an author with a  book that's done and you aren't really sure what the rest of "being  published" looks like, B) someone considering writing a book/just getting started.

A question was brought up recently in the comments of another post. I started to respond there, but quickly realized the answer was getting long enough to be its own post J. The question continued the conversation about audience and the fact that “everyone” is never the answer to who might want ...

Excellent advice for authors who want to promote their books and build a business around them (even if that biz is very small).

When you are new at something, there is a lot to learn. You can get better help and advice though if you ask better questions. My latest blog post will help you with that.

Came across this yesterday. I think a lot of what he says will likely happen even if not necessarily in the next year.
So way back in 2009 I made some predictions about the future of publishing. I was right about quite a bit. In fact, it's hard to believe those predictions were considered wild at the time, because many are now taken for granted. I've been looking to the future, wondering what is going to happen ...
