This course has the opportunity to be the best in the county: With that said, mud in bunkers is unacceptable. Obvious signs that pins have not been cut recently is unacceptable. The usual 4.25 inch hole is only 3.75 inches here because of grass grow over around the lips of the cup. The tee placements weren't moved in days either, obvious by the hundreds of divots. Driving from 9 to 10, you might as well take a tour of a dump ghetto. I give this course another chance every few years and it never fails to disappoint me. With some REGULAR maintenance, this could be a fabulous course. The layout is great. Lack of care flat out makes it horrible. Oh, and they charge high greens fees. This course cares about the bank they make at the bar and lounge. They moved their pro shop into the basement of the facility. You have to walk around the back of the establishment to even find it. The driving range is only slightly better than the dump in Tin Cup. Spend your money at a course that actually cares, because this one does not. I visited the pro shop after the front nine and advised the young man behind the desk that they should be embarrassed of themselves. Springwood, hire a maintenance staff, fire your superintendent and take the course where it was supposed to be. A challenge surrounded by beauty. I play a hell of a lot of golf and I will not be returning here soon. BUY SAND, CUT NEW HOLES, TEND YOUR TEEBOXES. Junk!
