MID-JUNE RESALE FIGURES RELEASED

The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 2,999 transactions for the first 14 days of June 2017. This result was down by 50% in comparison to the same time period in June 2016.

The average selling price continued to increase compared to 2016 – up by 6.7% to $808,847 for all home types combined.

ACTIVE LISTINGS INCREASE IN MAY

The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 10,196 sales for May 2017 – down by 20.3% compared to 12,790 sales reported in May 2016.

The average selling price for all home types combined for the TREB Market Area as a whole was up by 14.9% to $863,910. Year-over-year price increases were greater for condominium apartments compared to low-rise home types.

MAY MID-MONTH RESALE FIGURES RELEASED

The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 5,021 transactions for the first 14 days of May 2017. This result was down by 16% in comparison to the same time period in May 2016.

Through the first 14 days of May, the average selling price for all home types combined was $890,284 – up 17.3% compared to the same period in 2016.

STRONG NEW LISTING GROWTH IN APRIL

The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 33.6% more new listings in April 2017, at 21,630, compared to the same month in 2016. New listings were up by double-digits for all low-rise home types, including detached and semi-detached houses and townhouses. New listings for condominium apartments were at the same level as last year.

The average selling price for all home types combined was up by 24.5% to $920,791.

TIGHT RENTAL MARKET CONDITIONS CONTINUE IN Q1

The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 6,680 condominium apartment lease transactions for the first quarter of 2017. This result was up by 3.5% compared to the first quarter of 2016.

The average one-bedroom condominium apartment rent for the TREB market area as a whole was up by 7.8% to $1,791. The average two-bedroom rent was up by 6.8% to $2,432.

TORONTO CONDO MARKET CONDITIONS TIGHTENED FURTHER IN Q1

The Toronto Real Estate Board reported a double-digit annual increase in condominium apartment sales in the first quarter of 2017. A total of 7,251 condominium apartments changed hands through TREB’s MLS® System during the first three months of 2017 – up 21.7% compared to the same period in 2016.

The average selling price for condominium apartments in the first quarter of 2017 was $489,551 – up 24.3% compared to an average of $393,858 for the first quarter of 2016.

APRIL MID-MONTH RESALE STATISTICS RELEASED

The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 6,098 transactions for the first 14 days of April 2017. This result was up by 10.8% in comparison to the same time period in April 2016.

The overall average selling price for transactions reported during the first two weeks of April was up by 29.8% compared to the first two weeks of April 2016. Looking at the TREB market area as a whole, the strongest annual average rate of price growth was experienced in the condominium apartment market segment.

TIGHT MARKET CONDITIONS CONTINUE IN MARCH

The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 12,077 residential sales in March 2017. This result represented a 17.7% increase compared to the 10,260 sales reported in March 2016.

For the TREB market area as a whole, the average selling price was up by 33.2%, with similar annual rates of growth in the low-rise and condominium apartment segments.
