Great drinks and great prices! I came here for my husband's work happy hour. The wait staff were really friendly, and everyone there really enjoyed the food and drinks. We got very prompt service and the beer list is really good!

So I went to Rock Bottom tonight in the city, and the food was ok.Nothing to brag about, but the service, I guess if you have friends at the bar, you are in, but if you are customer forget it. The manager or whatever Elvy. talk about little man syndrome, OMG ladies beware. His ego may be bigger than his brain and his ++++ well you know!!! If you want to get a few drinks and unwind, never don't to Rock Bottom on west Grand in Chicago!!!!!!! You will be very disappointed.

Sit on their rooftop patio during the summer. Get's pretty packed for lunch so go 11ish or past 1PM. Get a flight so you can try their brews. Try Bacon Chicken Mac 'n Cheese, it can be easily split between two people.

The beers are what I came for, the food made me come back the next day. I honestly wasn't too thrilled with any of the beers here, sure the Kolsch is fine and the red is alright, but let's talk about the food. I had the artichoke asiago dip, the nachos, and the pizza. And holy portion sizes. And the kitchen is open late. And it was all great. Service could be better, but who cares honestly?

BREWERY LOVE = This nationwide chain restaurant also brews its Beers on site… and THAT’s specifically what I was here to try. I’m a Stout or dark Beers person and there weren’t any Stouts during our visit (but there was one Porter). Some of the options (like the American Pale Ale and ‘City’) were hoppier than I’d like although I’m sure many others will enjoy it. The lone Porter seemed to have a layer of straight-out, alcohol-taste floating on top—like a thin layer of Vodka. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT = For only $6 we took a flight of six. That’s probably the cheapest I’ve seen any craft brew! FRIENDLY SERVICE = Despite it being late, our server was extremely friendly and gave his suggestions of the menu. When it was late and another server took his spot, he shared the exact same demeanor and attentiveness.

The beer is definitely a bit watery. Not the greatest by far. Those with any type of discerning palate will be disappointed. They do have a great flight deal though: 6 four ounce beers for six dollars. Food is decent and pretty large portions.

I'm a big fan of their White Ale and their huge, warm pretzels with cheese dip - pretty sure I've had that combo each time I've gone! This is a great place for happy hour and other large parties because they have a big space in the back that they can move tables together for you. They also take reservations which is really convenient. I've been in their banquet space upstairs as well and enjoyed the dinner. During the warm months, their rooftop is a great spot!

I used to really enjoy going here, especially because my cousin lives directly across the street. However, their service has greatly diminished over the last few times I've been there. The food is fine and rooftop is really great in the summertime, but I can't get over how poorly they treated our handicapped companion. We brought a family member in a wheel chair and they didn't make any accommodations for him. Plus, the service was extremely slow. Our last experience wasn't good and that's what sticks out in my mind.
