The versatility of our Industrial shrink wrap ensures it can serve a number of different requirements across a variety of sectors.

Our 190 micron shrink wrap provides protection for valuable goods when in transport. Sheeting is wrapped around the object and welded together to create a fully enclosed layer. The film is then shrunk with heat guns to create a drum tight barrier. This prevents threats such as dust, flicked up stones and overhanging tree branches from damaging the object during travel. Tufcoat shrink wrap has been used by Interserve and Airbus to provide protection for nuclear modules and A380 wing sets respectively, during transport by road and sea.

Industrial shrink wrap can also be used to protect goods when in storage. Components are frequently manufactured weeks or months before they are to be used, and often have to be kept outside if internal storage space is full. The use of shrink wrap protects against dirt, damage and the effects of prolonged exposure to the elements including high levels of UV. This ensures the encapsulated object will remain in as good a condition when the shrink wrap is removed, as it was before storage. We have carried out a number of projects for Isleburn, where large components require encapsulation while in situ to ensure they are not damaged before use.
