How is she going to vote? My friend (let's call her F) just doesn't know. This isn't unusual – about 20% of voters are like her (see Q3). She needs to work it out fast. She doesn't like polling stations, so has a postal vote. She has to decide this weekend – or she'll get busy with work, ...

Idaho already lets cyclists do this. Research and common sense say that their law should go nationwide.

Two hundred fifty years of slavery. Ninety years of Jim Crow. Sixty years of separate but equal. Thirty-five years of racist housing policy. Until we reckon with our compounding moral debts, America will never be whole.

The Russian media, which has become little more than Vladimir Putin's propaganda machine, is Russia's most powerful weapon in Ukraine.

Rubbish architecture. Worse than the Arndale Centre.

Just what an African market should be like in your expectations! Madly busy, ancient dilapidated buildings, each area sells different things, boisterous, friendly. Take a local friend, guide or your driver

Truly outstanding. Venison was succulent, dauphinoise of exquisite depth, and pears and wine or port sauce to die for. The grilled goats cheese salad coated in sesame seeds was also tremendous. I'm definitely going to have a dessert. Friendly service, and the early bird prix fixe is all night Monday. And it's all interesting food on the prix fixe, (for example, the food above, and things like game terrine, pheasant and wild boar pie, a salmon papillote, a nut-loaf-stuffed aubergine, plus the classics, not just dull dishes). Lovely decor and some good but not intrusive bebop jazz in the background. I rarely review bit i found it on here and it's the best French restaurant I've been to for a very long time. And the French are really good cooks.

Mediocre. Edible enough but not great cuisine, and the atmosphere is nothing to write home about. Nice people, but the menu is mostly steak and straightforward fish. Some lebanese starters which were meh. No desserts, no good wine by the glass. Don't go out of your way

Old-fashioned post office, with toys and trinkets and fun! Friendly too, if you smile at them and enjoy this wonderful traditional space. Most urban ad suburban post offices are these soulless stark fluorescent-lit waiting room with just wrapping paper. This is a welcome example of a friendly accessible local post office as it should be,
