Jesus of Nazareth - the One and Only Christ! (There is no other!)

The Bible is clear:
One incarnation of Christ was prophesied.
• "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel." (Isaiah 7:14)
This One Christ would be (and was) of the house of David - He was (and is) Jesus of Nazareth.
• The Christ would be from the line of Abraham (Genesis 12:3), Isaac (Genesis 26:4), Jacob (Genesis 28:14), Judah (Genesis 49:8–12), Jesse (Isaiah 11:1), and David (Isaiah 9:7).
• Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled all these prophecies (see Matthew 1:1-17).
• “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” (Revelation 22:16)
Jesus Christ would appear and take on flesh once.
• "But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself." (Hebrews 9:26)
Jesus Christ died for sins once.
• "The death he died, he died to sin once for all." (Romans 6:10)
• "He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption." (Hebrews 9:12)
He was raised bodily once.
• He declared that he would be raised bodily (John 2:18-21).
• His tomb was empty (John 20:1-9, Luke 24:1-12,22-24, Mark 16:1-6, Matthew 28:6).
• (And if he was not raised bodily to rule bodily then God's promise to David (2 Samuel 7:16, Isaiah 9:6-7) would be broken!)
He entrusted the gospel to the saints once.
• "Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints." (Jude 1:3)
He has One gospel only (any new gospel / revelation is guaranteed false).
• "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!" (Galatians 1:8-9)
He ascended to heaven bodily once.
• "While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven." (Luke 24:51)
• "After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight." (Acts 1:9)
He alone is seated at the right hand of God.
• "But from now on, the Son of Man [Jesus' term for his incarnate self] will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.” (Luke 22:69)
• "But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” (Acts 7:55-56)
There is no other name!
• "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
And He will return to claim his kingdom once - in blazing fire with his powerful angels.
• "so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time [not a 2nd and a 3rd time! One return only!], not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him." (Hebrews 9:28)
• "This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed." (2 Timothy 1:7-10)
From him, we (who have repented and believed) have received grace upon grace, eternal life, eternal security in Him.
• "For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace." (John 1:16)
• “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
• "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand." (John 10:27-29
There are those who claim Christ has already returned (e.g. "Church of Almighty God")
• But in response to this same claim nearly 2,000 years ago, scripture responded that, "Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: 'The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.'" (2 Timothy 2:19)

Members of the "Church of Almighty God" -
• You are badly mistaken!
• Jesus didn't need to assume another mortal perishable body to spend time physically with his disciples after his resurrection, so why would he need one now? He still has the body that was raised imperishable and transformed. His tomb was empty and his disciples touched his resurrection body, talked with him, walked with him and ate with him. He ate fish. He wasn't some ghost or hologram, he was (and is) physically real!
• He is fully God and fully man. Men have bodies. The body is part of who we are, it is not some biological suit that we wear (God breathed on man and he became a living soul. Genesis 2:7).

Deuteronomy 20:1-4 (KJV) When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,
And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;
For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

"The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork"

Be blessed by the word of God

Psalm 19 : 1 - 14

The Perfect Revelation of the Lord
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
2 Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line[a] has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world.
In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.
6 Its rising is from one end of heaven,
And its circuit to the other end;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
