Been here a month and its just great. Not super crowded, good, clean equipment, and the music rotates between styles so everyone gets something they like. Free towels, filtered water, showers.

Gross. Stop cooking food in the gym. The place smells like a terrible Chinese restaurant. No customer wants to see folks scarfing down good while they are trying to drop some pounds. Not a very smart use of the gym layout. A lady followed me around "cleaning up" after me as I was trying to work out. Literally I would grab a set of weights and she would put them up. Let me rest for two seconds and I will continue using the weights I grabbed, then I will put them up. Last I checked there was a sign up that they are "going green." So they stopped putting out disposable cups for customers to use. Since there is not a water fountain (a real one), this seems like a cheap penny pinching move. This will be the last month I have a membership there. I had hoped the place would get nicer once more customers joined. Nope, I had it backwards, as do they.

Just joined this gym and so far I couldn't be happier - if that ever changes I will come back and edit, but I don't feel like I will need to. The staff is incredibly pleasant, membership is limited to 1000 people to avoid over crowding, music isn't too loud, and the facility is clean and bright. Membership is monthly with no extra fees, (the earlier reviewer didn't read the contract apparently) only 38 dollars per month, and that includes showers, cardio, weights, punching bag, water and towels, etc. Tanning is available and only 5 dollars per session... I couldn't be happier! I don't work for them, I am just a happy customer!

Great facility, & very nice owners who seem focused on offering a quality service and facility, & letting the facility (& existing customers) do the selling. Definitely no aggressive sales practices here = very pleasant contrast to some other fitness centers in town. Great price, you can go when you want, & flexible contract. New equipment, interesting mix of people in an interesting part of town (Five Points).

Fitness @ Five is simply the best gym in Athens. The owners provide a friendly atmosphere and all the equipment that most people need. Along with 24/7 access and the cost this gym is hard to beat. I would recommend Fitness@5 to anyone new to the area or looking for a change.

This place frustrates like no other. For 2 days I had been in e-mail contact setting up a time to meet with a trainer. I had informed them that I had all day open and said I could come anytime in the afternoon. When I gave one as the time I would be there the manager I had been e-mailing with said that would be fine. However, from 12:30 to 2 you need a code to get inside the building. I sat outside for 20 minutes and finally gave up. (this was after calling twice and sending an e-mail) When I did get ahold of someone to tell them not to bother passing my info on to the trainer I wouldn't be using their services I get the response, "Yeah it was really weird because I guess you were both here at the same time but she was inside and you were outside." Although I can't totally judge the gym since I was never inside the building I wouldn't ever care to deal with such incompetence again! If they knew from 12:30 to 2 I would need a pass card to even enter the building why when I suggested 1 would they say sure that's a good time. Not to mention that I had driven 30+ minutes out of my way to come to this gym. They were NOT helpful in finding a solution suitable for me.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIES ABOUT NO CONTRACTS!!! I joined Fit @ 5 over 3 months ago for a 3 month trial period costing $30/month. I specifically had to SIGN A CONTRACT for this. I followed the rules of cancelling my CONTRACT by submitting in writing (VIA EMAIL) 30 days prior to the date I wished to cancel. My charges were being assessed to my account on the 12th of each month. I submitted my cancellation request on the 12th of the May. I was told my last day would be June the 12th. LIES!!! I was charged $45!!! that very day. After confronting Fit @ 5 I was told I didn't submit my request in writing (EMAIL ISN'T WRITING???) and that even if I had, I had not done so 30 days in advance! I call BS!!! Fit @ 5 SCAMMED ME OUT OF MY $$$!!! DO NOT SUPPORT THESE CROOKS!!!
