After seeing the photos of +Ken McConnell and his writing sprints at lunch, I decided to take a step away from Scrivener and try +Google Docs for writing. I exported what I had to .docx, then converted it to .gdocs. After some formating to get the Outlining up and running I was off. I spent some time writing and soon realized that I enjoyed the simplicity. More playing around I found some handy add-ons that could come in handy like the Character Bible for writers.
But then I found the link to put Keep in the right panel which gave me another idea: move all my notes and characters/places to Keep so that I can see everything in one place and not have to bounce around.
After a day or so, I tried to transfer everything back to Scrivener to continue and found that it had lost some luster for me. This Google Docs setup is a simple and doable workflow for writing and I dig it.
I fear that I have a $45 waste of space on my Mac now. Not to mention $15 for Scapple. I think next time I try to brainstorm I might try Google Drawings. We will see.
