Hi there, I trust that you're all OK after that huge storm on Sunday night and are slowly getting things back in order around the home and school.

Below is an article I wrote last year to help support children cope with typhoon Hato (& the other various storms around the world at that time). At the bottom there are some tips to help support a child who has witnessed something traumatic or been overwhelmed by the storm. It was written with parents in mind so feel free to share AND you could also easily adapt the activities for your purposes.

I hope this is useful and helps with the processing of such a powerful typhoon.
Best wishes,

Rachel

A new social skills group with a twist! ....It will involve a lot of sand!

Psychologist Scarlett & I will be harnessing the power of sand play therapy using the principles taught by Dr Theresa Kestly (Author of "The Interpersonal Neurobiology of Play") to help 7-11 years get "unstuck" when it comes to peer relationships and self esteem.

Please help the right children find this group. Enquiries can be sent to rachel@fullcupplaytherapy.com. Early bird rates ends this week :)

Thank you!

This is something many of us take for granted! Learn about our 8th sense and the real life experience from a mother of a child with SPD who has underactive interoception. Fascinating and inspiring read from Olympia Therapy PLLC

Scarlett Mattoli and I are delighted to bring the power of Sandtray therapy to a group setting starting this month! After training under Dr Theresa Kestley we are keen to help those children who struggle with peers and perhaps have a lot of stress and anxiety too. Spaces are still available but early bird pricing ends soon!

We really appreciate your help in sharing this unique therapy group with the families and children who could benefit. Thank you!
