The Cooper’s Hawk concept includes four distinct components: an upscale casual dining restaurant, full-service bar, private barrel-aging room, and Napa-style tasting room and retail gift store…all under one roof. Each Cooper’s Hawk location is distinctive in layout and décor, but carries the same warmth and elegance that guests have come to expect.

We have never had a bad meal and the atmosphere is alive and exciting. Their wines, which are free for the tasting are usually very good. Especially since I'm not a drinker much less a wine drinker. However I've learned to enjoy red wine thanks to them. Service has always been good and great in the bar area. Try the Thai chicken wraps for great taste and value. Also the salmon is amazing and never over cooked. As you can tell by my other reviews I usually only post bad reviews but Coopers Hawk is worth my time.

I entertained a party of six at this new exciting location in the Cincinnati area. First, I would like to begin with some positive feedback. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a very friendly and well informed employee in the wine tasting area. We sampled the wine of the evening which we did not finish and were unimpressed by the aroma, body and flavor. The atmosphere in the entire restaurant was very warm and inviting on the frigid snowy evening. The wine tasting/store was very clean and sleek. We were seated in a cozy room that blocked the unappealing street traffic with wine barrels tastefully stacked. We all sampled two wines and had difficultly deciding because none of the tastes were palette appealing! My sister who lived in California wine country and has an obsession with delicious wines ordered a martini! The wine, we unanimously agreed, left us unsatisfied and extremely disappointed. The entire party felt way too much emphasis was placed on flavorings and NOT quality. We've all toured and tasted numerous vineyards and belong to a handful of wine clubs. We unanimously (and quickly) decided NOT to join the Copper's Hawk winery Club! We actually left wine unfinished at the table because we didn't see finishing an unsatisfactory product. We also did not purchase any wine to bring home for later enjoyment! We did retreat to my sisters home and enjoyed wine from her collection from another vineyard. She has a room and wine cooler dedicated to her collection. These were two firsts for the entire party. Now for the food, the appetizer we chose was the Cooper's Hawk Sampler. It was served luke warm and tasted like pre-packaged grocery store appetizers. Again, too much emphasis was placed on the several side sauces to cover the unsavory food. The menu didn't have anything fresh and new or different from other places. I ordered the trio of filet medallions and it was mediocre. The presentation was nice but didn't make up for the bland servings. The filets were topped with a parmesan crust that was strong and extremely over seasoned. I scrapped that from the filet and sampled just the meat. It was bland, dry and the texture was chewy like older meat and didn't melt in my mouth. I should mention I order filet at every restaurant I dine. The potatoes were a perfect "ice cream scoop lump" that had no flavor or texture! The potatoes had been grossly overcooked which causes that glue like flavorless paste that was placed upon my plate. The asparagus was delicious, it was crisp and fresh and perfect in flavor and NOT seasoned. Another guest tried the Surf and Turf with the same medallions and the mexican drunken shrimp. He did not care for the filet and the shrimp were basically Kroger medium frozen shrimp. The shrimp were tiny, the bacon was almost invisible and there was not even a trace or hint of tequila flavoring. The vegetables were tasty, crisp and enjoyable. Another diner enjoyed the Grilled Tenderloin Medallions from the Life Balance menu. The filets were flavorless, dry and chewy. The ancho chili sauce was enjoyable and perfectly seasoned. The roasted vegetables were crisp, fresh and flavorful. The Mediterranean salad she ordered was never delivered and we asked to have it removed from the bill. Other diner's ordered Ellie's Chicken Piccata, Sea Scallops, and the Cilantro Ranch Chicken Sandwich and found those to be satisfactory. Not delicious enough to want to return and order again. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu's. All agreed that Cooper's Hawk lacked food quality and the wines were unappealing and we did not need to return ever again. The staff were courteous and well informed. The environment was very appealing, cozy and relaxing.

We have been to this location a couple of times now. Every time is 5 stars. We have always had wonderful service and the staff are very accommodating and knowledgeable. We enjoy the wide array of different wine choices that are offered and even joined their wine club. We have been 5 times now, and will continue to go back. Food selection here is great and we really enjoy the Asian Pork Belly Tostadas. We would recommend these to anyone. Keep up the great work!

First visit Saturday for apps and drinks before a dinner reservation at The Precinct. Second visit Sunday. Third visit Monday. A wine centric restaurant that does it right. Everything revolves around the wine. At the prices they charge you'll be hard pressed to find a better bottle. Every menu item is designed to pair perfectly with one of the wines and it delivers. Everything is made from scratch and it shows! Tonight we did the wine tasting before dining. Had a taste of nine different wines for next to nothing. Really gave me an idea of what wine I wanted going into the restaurant. Started out with the Asian pork belly tostadas. I understand why they've won awards. I enjoyed the Syrah at the tasting so I ordered a bottle and the braised short ribs which the menu suggested. Glad I did. Perfect pairing. My date had the sea scallops which had a perfect cook on them and the sauce was amazing. The decanting of the wine at table side was a nice touch. I had the Banoffee pie and coffee after the meal and she had the Reese's ice cream cookie. I often judge a place based on the little things when everything else is done well as it was here. Even the coffee is terrific! In three days, I've been in three times. I joined the wine club and plan not only on returning but on introducing friends and family to this gem. I used to be a Captain at a four star establishment and have high standards. The staff knows wine and they are fantastic! Every table gets a visit from the manager to ensure they are happy. This was the first time in almost five years (including dinner on Saturday) that I didn't reach for the salt and pepper while dining out. An exceptional value for your dining dollar. A perfect date destination. I was unsure when I first heard about this place because Kenwood already has two exceptional casual fine dining restaurants that really deliver but I've been completely won over. A must visit.
