Driving through Topanga, one notices quite a few small shops and businesses nestled in amongst the hills. I was always intrigued by Cafe Mimosa's yellow sign, and always hoped to visit the small bistro. I finally had a chance to do so today when I me up with a new client. Upon arriving, it was obvious that Cafe Mimosa boasts a community-friendly atmosphere. Folks from all walks of life were enjoying the services and listening to live local music. The coffee shop has a little boutique, and an a small area filled with business cards and advertisements from locals. Everyone was chatting as if they'd known each other for years. (Which is entirely possible in this area.) As an avid Iced Mochaccino drinker, I ordered that from their menu. I was not disappointed. Just one sip, and I knew I'd have to be back again to have some more. They have a plethora of other coffee and tea drinks, as well as baked goods. So, if you're looking for a unique, hole-in-the-wall place, definitely try Cafe Mimosa.

A little too much. Not a place you are jast grabbing a cover at. Everybody is kinda local and know each other, I didn't feel comfortable being a sranger.

Just moved to Topanga and this has become our new favorite coffee shop. Cool little place that is unique, very Topanga. Free wifi if you need it as phone reception can be a bit hit or miss in the canyon. My only complaint is that they can be a bit slow at times (especially when they are busy) so if you are in a hurry this probably isn't the place to go. Luckily I'm usually never in a hurry! I LOVE this place! It's hippy funky, community minded, friendly, very intimate and very cozy. You can really make yourself feel at home there. One woman was happily refilling their creamer. I wiped our table before we sat down, just like begin at home. The place is filled with friendly locals seated at closely arranged tables inside and out. Anyone and everyone will talk to you. It's very eclectic, which I love, and also has a lot of little novelties displayed for sale. You can also leave your business cards and fliers, if you can find room. I had iced decaf and a bagel with cream cheese. You can't go wrong with that. Although, they do serve other pastries, teas and smoothies as well as quiches and that sort of thing. There was a colorful looking character there with a beautiful white cockatiel on his shoulder. People were there on their computers or just hanging out and meeting new people, lots of socializing going on. Locals come to find their friends. All and all, I felt quite at home and comfortable and do believe that this is the hub of Topanga. I would definitely go back! I LOVE this place!

They have gluten free muffins that are amazing, and they have a great selection of coffee's and teas.
