Oh no. My 9-year old son Googled "Is Santa Real?" And now he doesn't believe. Google may not be evil, but that's damn Grinch.

I think that Santa Claus is pretty awesome. We use him as an excuse to give things to each other without attribution or expectation of thanks. That's a really great thing to encourage in people.
If your son doesn't yet give presents to others, this might be the year to start. I think I started helping my parents with setting up Santa Claus presents the year I got let in on the secret.Dec 13, 2011
- Before there was Google, people wrote letters to the newspapers. Am surprised the famous "Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus" editorial didn't pop up in search results. Still a beautiful essay:
