First off, giving a place 1 star because they don't have happy hour during holiday hours is ridiculous. This place is actually pretty nice. Very packed though which results in long waits. The GOOD: Nice lounge area with TV so you can relax while you wait for your lane to open up. They also provide online reservations which is kind of cool. They have a nice selection of firearms to rent, although I brought my own. The actual lanes are decent. You're very close to the person next to you, so I think I"ll try a private suite next time. The staff was very friendly as well. They have a pretty neat retail front as well. The BAD: Even though the staff was very friendly, they guy actually charged me for two lanes instead of one. I didn't even think about it, I just paid it. Then once in the car I realized that sounded too much so I went back and sure enough, he gave me a refund. That was an inconvenience. Also, I made it perfectly clear to the guy who checked me in that this was my first time. I would suggest that they set expectations for newbies. They just automatically assumed I knew what to do. They should throughly explain the entire process to those who haven't been before. And lastly, I had to wait 45 minutes for a lane.

I came in to Shoot Smart for the first time after haveing been recommended to go there by Bear Creek Firearms and I have to say the Staff and Range were great! Luke helped me out at the counter and was very informative and polite. The lanes were well lit, ventilation was great and they offer a wide range of classes for my family. Ammunition prices are very comparable to what you would find at any store that sell ammunition and were actually checper than what I was quoted from a couple of places. I will definately return.

I'm from out of town here visiting grandkids and took my teenage grandson and granddaughter here twice this past week. I found it to be a very nice indoor shooting range with friendly professional staff. Good ventilation. Good equipment. We rented a private lane each time for a little more room and privacy. It was a little pricey but was also a great space with plenty of room for the three of us to share the lane and for me to give them a safe shooting experience with good privacy.

First of all...nice place to shoot. I had been shooting at a range that was a little "dumpy" but adequate. When Shoot Smart opened up I switched. I have been taking advantage of their Happ Hour range fees...until yesterday. The counter guy informs me that Happy Hour fees have been suspended during the "Holidays". WTF!!! So does that mean on Easter, MLK Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, and so on & so on that they will suspend Happy Hour? WOW!!! Don't get me wrong, it is a good place to shoot, but their policies seem a little skewed. I guess I'll go back to the dumpy place

I have carried a gun for over 25 yrs due to my employment and have spent many hours in classrooms being trained to shoot yearly. I took five family members all of which were female and had never shot a weapon to Shoot Smart. I have good ideal of what to expect from a gun range and was extremely suprised with the level of safety, and quality of the range at Shoot Smart. They have a private area where you can be with your guest and teach them yourself at what ever pace you would like to go. The staff there are unbelievably patient and will answer each and every question and go over them more than once. If they are crowed they have a paging system which sends you an email letting you know your range is ready. The entire family was hesitie to go but came out happier and stating they had more fun than an amuzement park and the kindness of the staff. If you have been to many public ranges you will find that the staff needs a classes on service to the public, they are not law enforcement or combat troops. I have been to many public gun ranges in the DFW area but none of the calibre and professionalism of Shoot Smart.

This is a great range. I have been a couple of time now. Staff is professional and cares. Facility is clean and new. Lanes are easy to use and automated. Its safe and fun. I have been to may ranges around town and there is nothing negative about this one. If its busy and you have to wait a little bit, big deal. Means its popular.
