#Kipona Celebration is surely a sign Summer is coming to and end.
The end of summer would not be the same without the annual Harrisburg Kipona Festival. The event was named after a Delaware Indian term meaning bright, sparkling water. So early this morning, Chief grabbed his leash, and me the camera and headed off to see what was up a few hours prior to the ...

Introduction
I have had a pretty good life.
Born and raised in Binghamton, NY
Spent my early adult years in New England working with the airlines, and traveling extensively.
In 1987 I started a service business in the Capital region of PA.
Plan to live out the last quarter of my life in a place that has palm trees.

Hernley's Indian did a wonderful job to help me back into riding after a 35 year lapse. Jim and Duane are fully committed to the Indian line, and really knew how to make you feel comfortable as I struggled over whether to get the Vintage Chief or the Chieftain. Hanging out in their showroom is like being in a resort hotel lobby, only with the apparel and accessories calling out my name. Now with over 1000 late fall miles (and the 500 mi service completed), it's time to start customizing my Springfield Blue Chieftain as I ride into my retirement years.

This is going to be long, but they earned it!!!! Fox Creek Leather is one of the last bastions for US brand and manufactured products. The reviews on several HD forums steered me to it initially. But it was not till I watched their videos on several aspects of the product that I started to "get it". Their pricing is in the mid range for high quality protective gear, of what I researched. Unfortunately, there are lots of similar priced imported products with very popular branding which do not compare in quality in my opinion. I purchased the full cover pants and classic motorcycle jacket II. I had some concern with fit to my physique where it met my large chest and neck. In response they sent me alternative jackets at their expense to compare the style, fit and feel, leaving me options as though I was in the store trying them on. This goes way beyond what I expect from a small specialty store, which I really appreciate. This spring, I intend to take the 6 hour ride down to thank Paul personally, and check out some of their vests, and a purse for my sweet! What better way to break in my new Springfield Blue Indian Chieftain, anyway! One last thing. I do not know what process they use, but the leather is unbelievably S O F T, thicker (as revealed in the video) than the look alike products sold in the major dealer showrooms. I look for that protection including the shoulder, elbow and back pads to keep me riding till at least 75. Lets change the tide by not buying imports when quality products like these are available to keep us working in the US.

So I have been visiting the Hair Cuttery off and on for abut 2 1/2 years now, and I haven't and seen any more romulans, though I tend to stay away from their hair coloring. I think the threat has moved on to another Galaxy.
