Oh, Gluck. <3 I'm seriously considering saving the money for this wrap. It was love at first sight.

I love her name. <3

I have 3, and each of their names have been a challenge.

My first is Christopher Judah, who is called Judah. Judah has a lot of biblical symbolism as the line Jesus came from, it means 'praised' and the Lion of Judah symbol has always been beautiful to me in a Narnia kindof way. As my pregnancy progressed I realized that the tribe of Judah starting with Judah himself was always on a journey to something greater-but if often looked super messy and un-great at the time, which is exactly how God has worked in my life.

Christopher has the great meaning of Christ bearer, but it's mostly just my husbands name.

Zachary Justice, goes by Justice-his first name is really significant in any way. Justice is a shout out to the perfect Justice of Christ and a recognition that His Justice is a Justice of pure, unhindered love, not of spite and contempt as I was taught growing up.

Piper Jubilee goes by both first and middle names. (Hubby calls her Piper, I call her Jubilee)
Her name means a proclamation of triumph or jubilee. The last 6 months of her pregnancy was the most emotionally devastating time in my life, and I couldn't see that there would ever be an end when she was born. It took us days to decide on her name, and it was really hard emotionally due to several things. We wanted to name her something we believed God would do even though we couldn't see it at the time. Jubilee is also the year of rest in scripture, and over the last 15 months or so I have been in such a desperate need for rest. (Baby is 8 months old)

So now we have 3 Ju names, and I think we are done because we created a very unintentional pattern there.

Hi!
I have no idea why I actually watched this, since my search was for progressive Christians who are pointing out the flaws of Vision forum, but I am glad I did.

We are probably as far about doctrinally and lifestyle wise as there is within the church--

But so many of your words impacted me despite our different starting points. I am a stay at home mom to my 3 littles, all pre-school age.

Thank you for sharing your heart. I can identify with the unity that comes from being whole transparent with my husband. He is my trusted confidant, and the more real I am with him, the less I notice other men, and the easier it is to dismiss random thoughts that invade me.

I can tell just from listening to you that Jesus has transformed your life and it's a beautiful thing to see and hear. <3

God bless you my friend.  Thank you for your encouraging words.  I need them.  Sometimes I feel a bit overwhelmed, but then the Lord brings such comments to strengthen me.  I debated whether or not I should have made this video...because it is 'too' transparent, but at the same time, I believe as you say, the more 'transparent' we are, the safer we are.....less hypocrisy, more honesty.

As a Christian who was raised YEC, I am really troubled at the lack of actual responsible biblical interpretation on this issue. I have listened to now 7 debates between various OEC and YEC experts including Ken Ham, Kent Hovind, Henry Moris, and others, and what I have found to be constant is that the OEC view draws the context and grammar from the actual text, and YEC instantly find a Hebrew scholar who agrees with their interpretation of "day".

I don't buy the plain reading argument either, because if we applied that universally across the board, we would have a geocentric universe, and various other phenomenon that seem like a plain reading of the text a biblical understanding. A proper understanding of the original language is simply responsible and not out of touch at all.
