Our guests are often curious about the significance of Nimbu-Mirchi (Lemon-Chilli).So here's the story behind it.

Nimbu Mirchi is used for keeping your family safe from evil spirits. Nimbu Mirchi is generally hung outside the door or even in vehicles for keeping Alakshmi away from your home. Alakshmi is known to be the sister of Lakshmi Devi, who brings poverty and misfortune. It is believed that Alakshmi liked sour and spicy things. So once you hang Nimbu Mirchi outside your home, Alakshmi comes, have her favourite food and go away from your home without entering the same.

Surprised much? Do you have a similar story to share? comment below. :)
