This is an early invitation to the first Digital Commons seminar on May 20th, 11:00-1230.

Our guest speaker will be Bob Harrison on "The University student of 2022-23", thinking about the experiences and expectations that children presently starting their secondary school career will have of higher education, in particular in terms of digital tools.

Bob has had extensive experience in schools and colleges as a teacher, senior manager, principal and governor. He's worked with head teachers developing leadership training and is a member of the Ministerial Educational Technology Action Group, which advises both the DfE and BIS.

I like technology that can be fixed! Acer Chromebook screen met a sticky end with a loose SD Card in my bag :( Luckily a new screen was 30 quid, and I fitted it in 10 minutes only needing a Philips screwdriver and a spudger.

+Danny Monaghan Fab. Would be really useful.
We have a test server now running the version of MOLE that we will be upgrading to, probably at the end of December (date will be confirmed next week). If you are interested in getting access to it to take a look at the new version, drop me an email with your username please and I can get a test course set up for you to try it out.

To save you reading the whole thing: "Beginning July 8, teachers using the free iTunes U app can create, edit and manage entire courses directly on iPad for the first time, and students will discover new ways to collaborate including the ability to start class discussions and ask questions right from their iPad."
