Woo-hoo! Much frabjousness to finally share with you all today, as THE CURIOUS CASE OF MARY ANN has officially been favorably reviewed for the Lewis Carroll Review, a publication of the main Lewis Carroll Society.

My heart was beating a lobster quadrille as I checked it out. You can check it out, too, at the link below in the online PDF version. I believe MARY ANN is on pages 17 and 18, but if you like Wonderland stuff, you’ll want to read the whole Review.

As a lifelong Alice fan, having MARY ANN reviewed by the Society is a HUGE deal. Huge like, too many bites of an "Eat Me" cake huge.

Thanks to everyone here who's already read MARY ANN, for all your kind support! To quote Lord Carmine, "Callooh, callay, and all that!" :)

So much drama among the desk toys this Monday! (The little figure and LED light didn’t come together but they look like they did.) If only I had half this much style! :)

Decided I was tired of the burden of generations of family photos, which I will keep and think of fondly but no longer display on this table in my Wonderland themed bedroom. (I have done so dutifully for fifteen years.) Today I filled it with what I would like to see there— at least for a while: my Tim Burton Alice dolls. It’s quite liberating.

This promises to be fun. Not only Harry Potter themed magic-influenced food ideas but a lot of just yummy comfort food British pub dishes. I haven’t done a major Harry Potter themed party— just a little birthday for my former roommate. But perhaps I should.

Little treat I found myself at Target today. I spied Doctor Strange first and, having never seen him for this series, I had it in hand in about half a second.

(Kudos to my friend shopping with me for not mocking me. It would have been valid to do so.)

I hadn’t seen Scarlet Witch before either— another favorite from my little kid comic book days.

I thought these likenesses were pretty good. The one for Thor was not really great. Alas.

Phrase I found myself saying to a friend today:

“I have eyes in the back of my head.

They're not MY eyes, of course.”

Drawn by an artist on Twitter under the handle @XiaouiR

I haven’t tried to draw Doctor Strange. I tried Sherlock a while ago and that was not what I’d call a success. His features are odd and hard to replicate when you’re only mildly skilled.

Friday the 13th, but Doctor Strange is unbothered.

I am not with the doing and the braining today. More with the napping and the stupiding. Also: me writing not-so-good. Send hope and caffeine
