I needed a new lamp for my family room and I could not find something that I liked in the stores. But I did find this pretty, blue glass bottle vase and it was surprisingly easy to make it into a table lamp. I love how it turned out!

It’s snowing in my kitchen this week! I decided to use some cobalt hues and lots of white (trees, snow, snowflakes!) to decorate my kitchen dining area for Christmas.

We enjoyed assisting in the foundation of Westminster Academy, Inc. here in Memphis where for the first 7 years of the school, I was the office manager and Ron, along with being an ATC, was the JV and Varsity boys basketball coach for 10 years.
For the 18-21 we raised our sons; in addition to the boys, both their school, and our church, (First Evangelical Church) were pretty much our lives. If we add in family and we have the entirety of our existence at that time. We have now reached the time of life where our sons are moving on and yet, we still have a full nest; We like to call them our geriatric children. We are putting an addition on to my parents' home, but also as Ron's mother is in hospice care for end-stage alzheimers,we will spend months at a time with them, assisting in whatever way we are able.
If and when I have time, my passion is creating with paper. I love making cards, invitations of all types, scrapbooks, but I have really fallen in love with the variety of gifts and home decor which can be made by using paper as you primary medium. I have learned to much by becoming a demonstrator for this wonderful company; Stampin' Up! I can't put quickly into words how much I have learned and how much I enjoy about all of this. It has given me such a wonderful way to express myself creatively, when I really thought I wasn't creative at all. For a little more on my story and to see what Stampin' Up! is all about please visit my website--- there is no obligation. You may look all you wish and even learn from tutorials posted without ever buying a thing. I have my phone number listed and also an email address, if you have any questions, again NO STRINGS ATTACHED. I am more than happy to answer any questions even if you never purchase an item from me. MY goal is to show others, just as I finally learned, we are all creative, and with companies such as Stampin' Up!; it is almost impossible not to be. suziesplace.stampinup.net
Since my darling husband has decided 51 years old is way too young to retire from all work. ( I quite agree) He plans to attend law school when his parents no longer need our assistance. Considering that I will be a Law school widow for a few years, I am really eager to set up small groups of people (my house is fine) who would like to make cards, or scrapbooks, or gift items, or home decor, or all of the above. If you would like to get a group of 3-5 people together, give me a call or email. We can take off running.......suziesplace.stampinup.net email firstname.lastname@example.org my phone number is listed on my website.
Thanks for reading about me and I hope we can get together and create in the future.
