The new app is really good.
9 new features in Google+ for Android

1. Auto Awesome Stories now combine your photos, videos and the places you visit into beautiful travelogues. You can read more at http://goo.gl/JGgzil.

2. Auto Awesome Movies are now available on Android, iOS and the web, so lots more people will receive highlight reels of their photos and videos. Here’s one example: http://goo.gl/9ljcdj.

3. You can now create animated GIFs and photobooth-style images on demand. Just tap the new plus button in Photos, and select either Motion or Mix.

4. Really big photo libraries are now supported on Android, so you can access your many thousands of photos quickly and easily.

5. You can now browse your entire photo library, as well as your highlights, by date. Just drag the new scroll bar to move forwards or backwards in time.

6. Profiles now display total content views on both Android and the web. (You can choose to show or hide this number via settings.)

7. A new navigation menu makes it easier to switch between your favorite circles and communities, as well as other places in the app.

8. It’s a lot easier to share content from your phone or tablet. To give it a try, just tap the new pencil icon at the bottom right of the stream.

9. The app menu now slides away as you move down the stream, letting posts fill the entire screen.

Look for the new app as it rolls out gradually to Google Play (http://goo.gl/ruuHW), and let us know what you think!

Quantified Self and Quest Physics... two things that has intrigued me and something which I'd be exploring further.

Quantified Self and Quest Physics are different yet very similar. Both are about knowing oneself.

http://vinitneo.com/ is coming along quite nicely. I recently hit the 1000+ visitors every day mark and 30,000 unique visitors in the month of April. Quite a few authors and marketers have been in touch with me to review their stuff on my blog and thanks to everyone who has been stopping by my blog.

Just a rant...

I listen to tech news first thing in the morning every day. Today there was a lengthy discussion about all the content providers and how all the major tech companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc. are trying to take over your living room and make the one device for all your entertainment need. All these talks about Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Aereo is such a moot point outside US because these devices are not available outside US and none of the content is effortlessly, legally available outside US.  And then there are exclusive content like Orange is the new Black, House of Cards, the new Halo series in which you have to be subscribed to a particular service and in many case have an exclusive hardware to watch that show.

It’s just a mess. No wonder torrents are a hit. But torrents are not for everyone, an average person will not be able to get the show he wants from torrent easily. This is where software like Popcorn Time and Movie Box (Showbox on Android) are revolutionizing the industry (albeit in an illegal fashion).

Popcorn Time and Movie Box has all the movies and TV shows that is out there, no restriction, no subscriptions and no payments. All the movies and tv shows that you want to watch are just a few clicks away. The software is so simple that even your grandma can use it. This is something the industry should be working towards, content should not be restricted, it should be available easily for people who are willing to pay for it.
