I loved it here. It was small, and quiet - making it really relaxing. It also meant that the staff were SUPER attentive. The facial was less intensive then I'm used to, but my skin looked great for weeks afterwards. I loved the water treatment. It was relaxing physically and mentally, this spa is the only spa in the US that I've been to that offers them. The body scrub/wrap felt great, my skin glowed for weeks. The spa itself was well equipped, and I plan to go back again next month. I'd be there every week if I had the time.

Oh why didn't I pay attention to the reviews on this board? If you are going for a facial, I would recommend you go elsewhere. As a couple of previous reviewers stated, the facial only consisted of applying different creams and taking them off. There was no steam, no removal of blackheads/whiteheads, nothing special for my lips and under eyes. She didn't even use a lighted magnifying glass to examine my skin, which is common practice for a facial. I'm not even sure what products they were using. The hand and foot treatment was a joke. I am so disappointed and felt that I have wasted my money. For the money I paid, I could have went to one of the larger, more reputable spas and received a better quality facial. I would NEVER recommend this place for a facial. Please...spend your money elsewhere. I wish I had listened to the wisdom of the discussion board and selected somewhere else.

I am only reviewing since the spa keeps having Groupon deals. I always research when buying Groupons and my experience here actually made me stop buying spa groupons unless I know trustworthy people who have visited. It seems anyone can post a review just as a marketing tactic. My Aromatherapy Massage experience: Expected a "spa" atmosphere as presented by their website (which I like). The outside immediately threw me off as it looked more like a DR office or paint store. Walking inside, the reception area was empty. Completely bare, bright walls, only 2 mismatched chairs in the room and an empty display case. When someone came out front to greet me I filled out my forms and head to my room. My masseuse was sitting in the small room when I walked in, left for me to change then came back and told me she had a hang nail and "had to take care of it so it doesnt drag across my skin"...which was nice of her to take care of but I didn't need to hear about it. The massage made me feel very awkward. My attendant was nice but kept telling me to relax, which I couldn't because I was hoping it would end. I could hear everything going on in the building. Also I tried to let her know I did not want to chit chat but she kept trying for small talk. Looking back I don't remember any "aromatherapy" but that is quite alright. I do remember after the foot massage she moved directly to massaging my face. Even though its my own body, I did not like that. After it was over, I was again the only guest in the building, my masseuse led me to the back area and to offer water and showed me who would "show me out". My Groupon was already taken care of in the beginning and I already handed her a tip. The lady acknowledged me but proceeded to have a long conversation with another employee. Once she was ready to see me off, there was a strange and obvious nod between my masseuse and the woman, then she immediately smiled and offerred me a discount for return services. It was another awkward moment as it made it seem like they only offer future discounts if you tip, and so maybe when the services aren't as expected people don't normally feel bad and tip them anyway? Oh well. I'm sure this is the right place for someone, but not for me. There could be a lot of improvements, even just cosmetically, that could make this seem more like a "spa". I don't plan on returning.

I sure wish these reviews had been in when I, as others doing reviews, purchased a deal on Groupon (a great place, and I am not blaming for this terrible experience) for a 3.5 hour massage, body scrub, facial, hand treatment, and glass of wine. The secretary who helped me over e-mail is wonderful, and so sweet. Everyone there is quite nice. That is not the point of going to a spa though. I walked in to a very sparse, very bright, cold waiting area with no reception. I arrived early to fill out an information sheet and was not brought back until 15 minutes after my appointment time. There is no general comfy area to change into a robe and relax. I was immediately directed into a cold, cheaply decorated room. I was told to put on a paper bikini and just use a towel because she could not find a sheet for me to lay under. She started off with what they call a body scrub, but it was a hard brush rubbed into my skin, followed by a lotion application on only one side of my body with a 4$ loofa glove. I was "wrapped" up in what felt like a dirty sheet covered with a cold heating blanket and plastic wrap then left for half hour. I wanted to leave but did not because I had paid for this day. I then had a very nice gentleman come in for the weakest, most unprofessional massage of my life. My facial was a joke, and was never told what products were being used. They were probably cheapo products just put randomly onto my skin for all I know. Also, they were COLD. The whole thing was COLD, no warm towels, no warm hands, nothing! The "hand treatment" was a body scrub lightly put on my hands followed by warming mits that were very uncomfortable, and COLD. After some random lotions being rubbed all over my face, and being “rinsed” with cold water, all the while hearing her stomach growling for an hour, she said “OK thank you.” She was about to leave and I asked if I was done and she said yes. She also almost forgot to take off the mits. I then got dressed and realized she never washed off the scrub, got oily lotion all in my hair, and left a terrible smelling residue all over my face. I was disgusted. Also, I was not offered wine until the very end, and all their wine was sitting out, not cold. I refused because, first off that should have been offered in the beginning to get me relaxed, and second, I had to drive home already mad…tipsy would not have been even remotely a good idea! I did manage to squeeze a mini bottle of water from them. The main woman walked me out and I just said bye, but did not leave a tip (a first for me). This place is horrid. The owner (I assume) is so sweet and nice, but DO NOT go here for any spa treatments. Even if it were free, I would never go to that place again.

I decided to use this place because of the condition of my lower back and very strong and good references of this place. Was pleasantly surprise by the attention and knowledge and experience of the masseur. He understood the problem and in a few days I feel a lot of improvement. Definitely coming back!!!

I went here because I never had a massage before and Groupon had a deal, so I bought it. I read up on the reviews on Google on the day of my appointment. I was a bit disheartened, especially by the three single-star reviews. I have to disagree with those reviews strongly. Granted, I don’t have much experience receiving massages, but my first experience was great. I recommend this place. Ask for Sharon. She is a nice, elderly lady who gave me my massage. Disclaimer: I am not an employee of this place trying to inflate the positive reviews. After my experience, I thought the three negative reviews weren’t justified, so I felt compelled to counter those with my positive one.

Not a wonderful experience by any means. The spa has no atmosphere, obviously some of these "reviewers" are either friends or staff because it has no spa feel at all. The massage included no oil as another commenter said and the lady rubbed and didn't massage me either. It was awkward and I could hear people talking in the hall and in the waiting area the entire time because the walls were so thin. Same thing with facial. The lady slapped some various stuff on my face and rubbed it around. She seemed in a hurry. She never told me what products she was using, never looked at my face under a light, nothing. She basically washed my face with a scrub. I'm not sure she had ever given a facial before. Again, awkward. And both services took place in the same room so I laid there naked under a sheet while they switched and "set up". It was so bad. I felt I was taken advantage of by having to pay for these services, all while staring at a drop ceiling, laying on a massage table that squeaked every time I moved. Spend your money somewhere else.

Bought the groupon for 2.5 hour- 30 min Hand treatment, 60 min massage and 60 min facial. It turns out they combined the hand treatment with the facial and it ended up being lesss then 1.45 hours total. The hand treatment machine wasn't working so I asked to come back and have that done again- they only did for 15 minites and just put some lotion and warm gloves on me.- No parrafin, etc. The facial consisted of just applying lotions. For the price this was NOT a good deal compared to others I have gone to since.
