For those of you running into issues with +GOG.com - DRM-Free Games games on more 'unique' Linux distros (mine is Slackware :-). I found that using the dosbox made for my distro (compiled from +SlackBuilds.org) worked with all the games asking for a bunch of old libraries.

Have fun!

the actually terminal im running on is xfce4-terminal 0.6.3 in manjaro linux if you were wondering. As for screen by default it doesn't resize text characters in windows without forcing it terribly painful to work with lol ;D

Congrats +Willy Sudiarto Raharjo  Hope to have many more years collaborating with you on SBo and Slackware, our BDFL willing!

it was right around  late '94 I fired up Slackware to rip CDs to mp3.  It was quite a stack of floppies! So glad to to get a CDROM version next release!

[SOLVED]

Had to install from /mnt/sdb1 after mounting the USB stick.

Hi! I have been trying to do a FULL install of Slacko Puppy 5.7, but cannot seem to get the bootloader config correct (maybe I am too used to LILO ;-).

I keep ending up with a:

Error 15: File not found

I have tried both the Grub4DOS and the Legacy Grub config 2013. All the install videos I have watched on YouTube seem to have everything 'just work'.

I have even tried manually editing the menu.lst as recommended at the end of the Universal installer. Am I missing something easy? I want Slacko to be the ONLY system installed (on a t410 thinkpad).

Thanks!

Thank you for the link! But unfortunately that only has links to other sources on boatloaders, and none of them seem to help ...

SlackBuilds  -

Since I update packages quite often (or test newer versions), I wrote a set of very simple scripts to automate some of this. They are available here:

https://github.com/ryanpcmcquen/linuxTweaks/tree/master/slackware/sboGizmos

With a demonstration here:

+Ryan McQuen Thanks for the scripts. I'm using the one for downloading -current SlackBuilds. Having the SlackBuilds will come in quite handy in case I want to update a certain stock package, as I won't have to download all the files manually.

Wow, last time I checked it was 3000+, amazing growth.

Checking all the scripts around next slackware release will be an interesting exercise ;)
