Gmail is awesome.. today, because it is my birthday I am old, I locked my keys in the car. I have a keyless car so what that really means is I put my wallet in the grocery bags I was unloading and then shut the hatch without first picking up my wallet. ( Ford Edge if you're smart enough not to let me lock them in the driver area you should be smart enough not to let me lock them in hatch too!) I was lucky I still had my phone in my pocket, and after a few minutes of thinking about it remembered that years and years ago I had thought to email myself the door code. One simple Gmail search and I was back in the car. Google you saved the day, thank you for your massive storage and wicked smart search.

You know this is one of those things that had the immediate gratification effect of feeling like fun thing when you initially watched it, but them after you walk away and think about it not so much. I'm sure it was done with the best of intentions, and the logistics of it were very cool... but the more I think about it, these are people who for the most part are presumably doing well enough to buy airfare for themselves and family to travel, they aren't in need.

And the things that the video focuses on are very consumer based items. Watch it more than once and you start to feel a little icky about the level of greed.

I wonder what did they do for people who answered the question with something that wasn't easily purchased - or maybe something that was painfully honest, or in real need. Were those people ignored because it wasn't good for the viral video?

Only very briefly do they mention giving future air travel as a gift which would at least bring family together.

I would rather have seen them doing something equally cool but for people who really need some real help or have a real problem.

Just walked through the living room and the girls were watching Tanked, and one fellow told the other "Our client is redesigning their lobby and they want our tank to be a piece of the resistance." In my head I heard Inigo Montoya say: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Way to exceed expectations! Basketball shoes I ordered for Parker were here in my hands about 18 hours after I ordered them  with only the free standard shipping. Just the fact that they were in UPS's hands early enough to arrive this morning given that I ordered right after 4PM is kind of amazing.

3 years ago we got my oldest daughter's ears pierced here and bought the extra warranty on the earrings. Sure enough one of her earrings broke after about a month. The front of the earring broke off from the post but the post and back were still in her ear but we were able to take it in and get them replaced. This year I took my younger daughter in to get her ears done and purchased the same extended warranty. This time when those earrings broke in just the same way, she didn't realize until the entire earring was missing. When we went in to the mall to talk to them about it their manager at the booth's attitude was basically yeah that happens a lot but if you don't have a piece of the earring there is nothing we can do about it. I would never purchase earrings here again as the quality is clearly lacking and their customer service about it stinks.

I called the Mandarin Store for a window and screen door repair. The tech came, fixed the window and took the screen door with him. Three weeks later when I have heard nothing back, I call and was told they don't have an order on file and have to find my door. A day later they call back and say they found the door in "the back" and will repair it and return it. Three more weeks later still nothing - so I call and this time I'm told it's not there, it was taken downtown and is still not been repaired but they will repair it and bring it a week later. The delivered it to day 6 WEEKS and two phone calls to find out what's going on (if I had never called it would still be sitting there) after it was taken in for repair and they had the nerve to still charge me full price $175 to rescreen and replace the rollers. Not even an apology for how long it took or the poor service.
