By far the WORST service EVER by the pregnant waitress! We were on our way out of town yesterday (7/28/14) and had never eaten there. The menu board lists the food items but does not list what is included on the burgers (i.e., mustard, mayo, tomato, etc.). One of our kids ordered the pizza burger and she asked what he wanted on it. Being a pizza burger, we naturally presumed pizza sauce would be on it. When I asked her what types of toppings, she threw her hands out and said, "Uh, pizza sauce???" She was so rude. Then, my special needs daughter ordered a "Chocolate maltshake". She meant "Chocolate Malt" but the pregnant waitress again threw her arms out and said, "Well, which one do you want? A malt or a shake?" She was extremely rude and we will NEVER be going back. The food itself was fine - just a normal burger and fries. But the waitress ruined it for us. Sadly, in the parking lot we heard the couple next to us make a similar comment about this waitress.

A friend of my father's had told us about this place. Said that they have the best burgers in town. Well, let me tell you, he was right. They burgers were cooked right in front of us, and fresh off the grill. All the food tasted teriffic and it was all fresh. And the waitress lady was very nice. I will definitely go back again some day!

Cool old-school drive-in diner. Great burgers/sandwiches. Rather large menu. Food: 3 (4.5 on a scale of diners) Atmosphere: 3.5 Service: 3 (it's a diner with basically one waitress) Very reasonable prices. Drinks are just one refill so get a bigger one if you drink alot

My wife and I stopped by Clyde's as the final destination in our weekend U.P. trip. We stopped by during lunchtime on Sunday, and our order was promptly taken by a very pleasant young lady. Then we waited. People after us came in, placed their orders, received their food, and CONSUMED their food while we waited. Nearly 30 minutes went by while we waited. A middle-aged waitress asked if everyone's order had been taken, and my wife mentioned that we'd been waiting nearly 30 minutes. My wife received the following retort, "I wasn't your waitress, and I'm not the cook." That's it? Really? This is a restaurant. If you're not there to deal with the people, or prepare the food, then what is your function? Needless to say, there were several patrons in the restaurant that were astonished at the treatment my wife received. After the stellar interaction, the waitress fetched her cigarettes from her purse and put them in her apron. Then she grabbed a crate and headed outside for a smoke break. Upon her return, she consulted with the original young lady who took our order (who'd been busy hopping between the cars pulling in and the restaurant to deliver their orders.) This young lady was working hard, and not at fault for this situation. It turns out that our order (and the apparently the order from part of the family behind us) had been placed at the bottom of an order pile where newer orders were being stacked on top of it. The family that came in behind us amounted to a group of probably 8 people. They placed two separate orders. The first group (about ~6 of them) received their food promptly while we waited. The remaining two people in their family appeared to have been in the same situation as my wife and I. My wife and I finally received our food (after the ~6 people in the family that ordered after us had already FINISHED their meal). Probably 5 minutes after my wife and I began eating, the remaining 2 people from the family walked out with their meal just in time to have the rest of the group sit around and watch the two eat. Topic of conversation between my wife and I *and* the other family, of course, centered around the poor customer serviced we'd received today. Sadly, this was our final visit to Clyde's as not even an apology was offered for the chaos that we endured today. BTW, the food wasn't bad once we finally received it.

OMG! Best burgers north of the Bridge! If the guy who started this business had franchised to more places than the Sault and Manistique, he would have been Five Guy Burgers before Five Guy Burgers was ever been considered. I prefer the onion rings to the fries but that's personal preference. Both are great and go so well with this magnificent burger. Wonder if this is the place Jimmy Buffett had in mind when he wrote "Cheeseburger in Paradise" . . . only thing missing is the "cold draught beer."
