A big Thank You to all the bands who donated their time and talent this weekend for Music Feeding Music at Pro Tek Auto in Niantic. The weekend kicked off with an amazing show by an 8 piece big band group, Jim Stewart's Swing Party. With very generous donations, we were able to have a record breaking opening night! We will announce this a little bit later.
For Celebrate East Lyme, Music Feeding Music had three returning bands, The Second Chance, Llama Tsunami, and Sue Menhart Band (pictured below). Each band brought a very high level of energy and exceptional talent. Thank you again for returning to our stage!

At Pro Tek Auto in Niantic CT, we aren't just about serving cars or having cars for sale, we also take part in hosting community events such as this one.
Music Feeding Music is a free, Charity Concert Series hosted each Friday evening during summer from 7:00-9:00. Concerts are located at the Pro Tek Auto Stage in Downtown Niantic. There is a wide variety of live music including jazz, pop and rock bands, and soloists who donate their time and talent to provide the community with free entertainment. Most of the entertainers are local, with some from New York, Hartford, and other surrounding areas. This is an event we have received an enormous amount of feedback from the entertainers, many who have benefited from our school programs and want to give back and the audience who is often enamored by the quality of musicianship. Food is provided to the audience for which generous donations are made. 100% of these donations are given to local high school programs including East Lyme, Waterford, Montville, St. Bernard, and New London.

Have you washed your car recently? If you answered no, you may want to consider washing your vehicle sooner rather than later.
When salt and treatment is on the road, washing your car is a major factor in battling corrosion and maintaining the value of your car. Salt that remains on a vehicle surface and undercarriage for any length of time can damage your car's clear finish, promote rust, and affect the mechanics of your vehicle, including safety features such as your brakes. If you plan on washing your car, never forget to wash the undercarriage.

Is your car "not blowing any air" or is your "car fan noisy"? This could be caused by the blower motor fan not working properly in your vehicle. One of the most common reasons for this to happen are pest related. Rodents such as mice and chipmunks love to get into these hard to reach places and like to build nests, like the one Josh is featuring in this photo. This blower motor has had a rodent build a nest out of insulation, which caused the fan not to spin and blow air into the cab. Fortunately for this customer, the fan was cleaned and fixed the issue. Is your blower motor experiencing issues such as this? Our experienced automotive technicians can help.
