This country could withdraw from Iraq and Afganistan, and scrap our Nuclear weapons and go a huge step towards wiping out the 'defecit' we always hear about. A defecit which has existed for decades I will add.

You know what is utterly FANTASTIC about G+? It does exactly what you want, whilst being simple. Simplicity, pure usability and functionality. It's the best of Facebook with none of the frustrating privacy options and annoying notifications spamming my Blackberry message feed. G+ is social media at it's finest.

Yeah the privacy stuff takes some getting used to. If you use the circles in the right way it works though.

I hate how every UK based sports channel, news channel, newspaper, website try to 'push' American football on the British.

British highstreet shops are starting to piss me off! All I hear about is how much they suffer because of the economy, or because online retailers are squeezing them out. They need a reality check! It's not OK to open at noon (or not at all) on weekends. It's not OK to stock over priced and sub quality products. It's not OK to employ staff with no product knowledge or motivation. It's not OK to only stock a certain brand and leave the consumer devoid of any choice. It's not OK to fill our high streets with poundlands. It's not OK to outsource all call centers to India. When are these companies going to start being professional and building their companies around the consumer? Why the hell should I jump through their hoops when I can buy something online from a company who actually cares about what I think?

I have to agree, but also have thoughts to explain some of it;

Some shops have limited opening hours on weekends because they are either restricted in their trading hours by their lease agreements, or because they are couple-run places that have no alternative staff for the weekends, and they also have a family.

Some staff may not yet have product knowledge if they are new - everyone has to start somewhere. Motivation - well I agree with you to a degree, however at least they have a job and not just scrounging benefits from the taxpayers pool.

As for over-priced and limited brand stocks - it is the brand owners themselves that limit both the range and the pricing for the shops, some brands simply won't sell you their brands if they don't think you're big enough, and even if they do, their pricing will be ridiculous if you're turnover isn't great - allowing giants or online traders to capitalise on your weak buying power.

Answer is, in short, you don't have to jump through anyones hoops - that's the real beauty of competition and a freedom of choice. What it does mean however, is that companies such as Tesco will ultimately take over (even more than they already have) with their monopoly-esque trading practices and ultimate chequebook.

What an absolute disgrace the rioting young people of this country are. The barefaced cheek of trying to legitamise their actions. People in this country can't stand up and fight when it actually means something but can riot for a flat screen TV. Idiots.
