This was the slimiest auto shop that I have ever encountered. I dont usually like to complain but the new manager Dana seemed really scummy. I bought a groupon deal to get my brakes done, and he tried to tell me I needed $8000 worth of repairs on the car. The car itself drove fine, just needed brake stuff done. He refused to put the new brake pads on, which I had already paid for. When I showed up to get the car, he tried to dip out real quick without talking to me. When I said I had questions he started blabbering really weird excuses about leaving when I showed up. Saying he needed a cigarrette. I should have read reviews before taking my car there. That guy is probably going to hell.

Simple... Do not bring your car here!!!! They will screw you!!!! The manager (Mr. Dana Parton) will lure you into their "diagnostic procedure" just to tell you what you already know. They will not mention that labor rate $110+. The worst part is that if you do not have them repair your car, "$7,000" (in my case) they will return your car worse than it was. My car was returned with a disassembled engine with parts scattered everywhere! They'll say... Why put it back together if you're going to have someone else take it apart anyway to get it repaired? The truth is no shop will accept your vehicle in such conditions unless you agree to pay for anything missing and they will question if the engine was ever running! Stay away from AAMCO 2728 Martin Way E Olympia, WA 98506 !!!!! I ended paying for their "R&R" $110+ labor rate plus tow truck services in and out, over a $1,000 for nothing..... Very respectfully, G

I promised myself that we would write a review after we went to Aamco last year. We read the reviews after we'd purchased the daily deal and then scratched our heads, thinking that maybe Aamco wasn't a good choice to bring our car in. Then I forgot to write the review, yet get in our now perfect car that Aamco fixed! I never take the time to write reviews, yet always use to them to make my decisions about purchases. I really want Olympia to know that this was a great, great experience for us! When we bought our Chevy Malibu from a local car dealership, we did not realize the extent of the brake situation. We had no idea how much the brakes would squeak (you could hear them from a block away a few months after we'd bought from the dealership). The rear brakes just never worked right. We took the car into the Chevy dealership to have them fixed, and they charged us but never fixed the sound. They told us it wasn't fixable. When we took our car into Aamco, we were desperate to have new rear brakes, and so hoping the squealing could be fixed. They fixed it perfectly!!! They also did our 90,000 tuneup. We had received an estimate from the Chevy dealership, so we knew how much they would charge. Aamco saved us over 600$. We did pay $1,300, but this included new rotars, new brakes, everything fixed perfectly, AND the 90,000 mile tuneup. We did not have to spend this much, but it was our choice to go ahead with all of the work because we knew that we would be saving money, and kind of risked it on using Aamco. Well, we just want everyone to know that it was not a risk at all, but a blessing. The owner said he is trying to turn things around (I think he was fairly new last year), but he is wonderful and honest. I just want you to know I had no idea who he was before this, and I have no friendships with anyone or was asked by anyone to write a review. This is just my attempt to help people out that are deciding who to use for new brakes, or whatever Aamco might offer. Whenever you are dealing with car issues, it always seems like we always mistrust them, or at least I tend to. I want you to know that this place is so trustworthy, and they even told us that since the chevy dealership had just changed our oil, we could come in any other time to have our oil changed for free, or even use one of our other cars. We have 4 kids and are a very busy family, but if you use Aamco, it will be one thing to not worry about. They do a great job!!!! Thank you so much!

I took my car into this shop to get the oil changed. Upon paying for the service, they gave me a list of 5 or 6 things that "had" to be done to my vehicle. Two of the items were all new brakes, and a tune up. The estimated cost was about $1300, excluding labor. I then took my car to 2 other places, one of which was the place where I purchased the car. Both of these shops refuted the claims of Aamco shop. It turned out that I did have an oil leak that needed to be addressed, but ironically the Aamco people didn't even notice that. I will not be taking my vehicle to this shop again.

UPDATE 11-13-14 We went back one last time, after AAMCO called us about this review. Basically, my wife's check engine light came on in June, and we went to AAMCO to repair the vehicle. They installed faulty spark plugs, the car still didn't run. We went back in September, they replaced the spark plugs free of charge, gave us a $150 credit, and apologized for the poor experience we had during their transition of ownership. THE GOOD: They are serious about improving customer service and did their best to address our concerns/ complaints. THE BAD: It seems like going to AAMCO is always a hassle. Something always seems to go wrong and require a return trip. It's frustrating. THE UGLY: New customers and long-term customers are treated the same in terms of payments. Either you have to pay the hundreds or thousands for repairs right there to pick-up, or you sign up for a payment plan with exorbitant interest rates (approx $75/month). These are your options. No in-house credit, even for long-term, established customers. If AAMCO offered an in-house payment plan for long-term, reliable customers, we might stay with them despite past issues. As it is, the cost of repairs + the interest rates means AAMCO falls short on the cost-benefit analysis. They just aren't a good value for the hassle. ------------- OLD REVIEW: I used to be really happy with AAMCO. They treated us very well. I even bought one of their car care packages for full price some time last year. But they went and got greedy with their groupon and sold over 4000 of them. Now those of us that have been going to them for a while and have been happily paying full price for our services are now suffering due to the greed of the Owner. Never have I walked in and been told it would be 5 hours to get my oil changed. Sorry guys but I am going to start rescinding my recommendations I have given all of my friends. I used to be able to say that service here was amazing. I used to be able to say that turn around was super quick. Thanks for changing my mind guys.

Professional, efficient, Honest!! These folks really took care of me. Normally when a shop sees a F350 crew cab pulling in they think "ok the rent is paid for this month" This was NOT the case with AAMCO. From now on I will take all of my vehicles to this shop. It is really nice to be able to relax and not be on your guard when having a vehicle serviced. Thanks Steve

I purchased a Groupon deal and went in to get the brakes replaced and get an oil change done, a call that I needed new rotors before they finish putting the brake pads on my car... which ended up costing me $750+ ever since I have had the repairs done..I've been having squeaky brakes and pulling when I stop my vehicle(so embarrassing when driving places--super loud squeaks), never had these problems before the repair. Went in to get them replaced with my warranty and they then tried to get more money out of me, saying more needed to get done with my car before issuing me the replacements. My car is an 07 with only 75k on it, couldn't possibly be in that bad of shape..come on.. I am extremely dissatisfied.

Under new management! I stopped in for an oil change and am happy to say that I will return. If you had a bad experience with the old management you should try them again.
