Had my first and last experience at Ruth's Chris on 10/4/14. The server (Thad) was the most unpleasant person I've ever encountered in this setting. We had a large group, in a private room, celebrating a special occasion. My family and I felt like we were a bother to this particular waiter. The food was ok. I felt very overpriced for the quality and portions. Sad to say we will not return to this establishment. Morton's steak house was much better!

Our experience was good with the restaurant it was the valet parking service is who we had the problem with. Many items were stolen from my husbands truck. When we contacted the manager at Ruth Chris. We were given the number told to contact the outside valet service. After many calls and left messages, Nothing!!!! So beware of the Valet people that take your keys and snoop through your car.

Food is not bad but there is very little of it and you pay an arm and leg for what little you get. More a place for up and coming snobs than a place for a good/great meal at a fair price. (I don't mind paying about the same amount for dinner at Jimmy Kelly's where you get better tasting food and enough to fill you up)

I pray for that poor mans wife. I don't think any establishment says, "let me serve you cold food and not care". Life is too short not to communicate properly and let someone fix the problem.

I have been to this location 3 times now. It is probably the worst Ruth Chris in the country. The servers and bar tenders put forth very little effort. The manager came to our table of six and asked how everything was. I responded that "the food was good". He took one look at the table which included 6 empty drinks and 6 empty plates and walked away. The building is old and out of date. As with all Ruth Chris Steak Houses, the food is very very good. Avoid the Nashville location if at all possible. Head to Kayne Prime for top notch food AND service if at all possible.

Typical Ruth's Chris. Excellent food, the same decor as the others, attentive staff, and outrageous prices. You pay to not be disappointed. There are just as good steaks all around town for half the price, but these guys never have an "off" night.

From the service to the food to the drinks, everything was beyond phenomenal.

In our quest to find the best steakhouse in Nashville, I took my husband here for his birthday. I had made reservations, yet we were seated in a table in the center of the room. Value: we expected a hundred-dollar meal between the two of us, but everything was ordered a la carte. Buy the sides or go home hungry? There was no bread service or anything either. Service: lacking. We saw our server maybe 3 times the entire night. I think the server assistants are supposed to do most of the actual service, so maybe our real server ignored us thinking the SA was picking up the slack... but he wasn't. Our water glasses remained empty all night, and no one checked on us to see if we were enjoying our meal. If they had, I would have returned my steak. My husband's steak was cooked as he asked, and he enjoyed the flavor, but I had asked mine to be cooked medium, and it was bloody. I was so hungry (again, no bread), I ate it anyway, but the blood really put me off. I think our server was actually waiting in a different section, as he was nowhere to be seen, and no manager making his rounds that we could flag down. I would have expected at least a floor manager at a nice place such as Ruth's Chris! After dinner, our server brought us the dessert menu and told us to pick something out because we were celebrating a birthday. We chose a dessert to share, then realized he had charged us for it when we went to pay. We felt he played a misleading game to garner a higher bill and thus a higher tip. I used to serve tables, so I still left 10% (as opposed to what I wanted to leave - a big fat ZERO), but we will go to Stoney River (where at least they ensure your steak is cooked the way you want) from now on.
