Used to visit often and was in love with their grilled chicken linquini--it is most delicious. However, one afternoon for lunch a co-worker and I were celebrating her last day of work, so since that was our favorite place, we decided to head down to Sahm's on Capitol. It was a normal day as any, however, our server had a disgusting case of post nasal drip while serving us. We thought we'd give her a little time so she can clean herself up, but when she brought our food out, SHE WAS STILL DRIPPING to the point where every time it came out, she would sniff it back in and/or wipe her nose with harm. Our food was strange. The linguini was a funny cement-like color and it didn't taste very good. I was completely dissatisfied. We asked for a manager who didn't seem to care (and looked sweaty and dirty himself) and asked if we wanted more food. Of course, we did NOT want anything else to eat as we were both mortified and disgusted. He comped our meal a couple of dollars and would not take the girl off the floor. She appeared to be over tired and not feeling well. So, that same day, I wrote a letter to the main store and I never heard from them or received anything other type of response. I feel that any restaurant who allow such service on the floor has to be less than sanitary in the back. I was very, very disappointed and haven't been back since.

Our apologies for not responding to your concerns in a more timely fashion, Gina — we recently got on Google Plus. I’m disappointed to hear that someone who visited us as frequently as you stopped coming after one experience. Our servers are allowed to switch shifts when they're feeling under the weather so they can take time to recover and be ready for a new day's work. If our server's health was affecting her ability to provide quality service, she should have spoken with us. We can assure you we maintain the strictest health codes and keep our kitchens spick and span. As for the linguini, it looks like we missed the mark. Our food should never resemble the ground you walk on! Since you’ve had our linguini before, you know this is definitely out of the norm. Be it a manager or server, everyone on the team should make you feel at home, and I sincerely apologize if that wasn't the case during your celebration lunch. We miss having you around, and we hope you’ll give us a chance to show you we’re the Sahm’s you remember! — Sincerely, Michael, Managing Partner

One of my favorite lunch spots downtown. The food is always excellent and a great value. It's priced right, and the portions are generous. All Sahms locations have been excellent.

Thanks for hanging out with us around town, Jeremy! It gives us huge grins to hear you've enjoyed our grub. Come have a craft beer with us next time you’re in. We look forward to it! —Cheers, Michael, Managing Partner

Visited during devour downtown. Food was hit or miss. The salad had way too much dressing. The rice on the side was undercooked, while the salmon was crisp in places. Sauces could have been better. The back row of seats are under the AC and can not see all of the TV's clearly. I do like the location away from the downtown traffic and easy parking.

Apologies for the late response. We’re disappointed to hear you weren’t blown away by our food because your rice and salmon should always be cooked to perfection. If you're wanting to watch a game, don't be shy — ask your host for a seat close to the TV so you can cheer your team on. If you’ve only tried us out during Devour Downtown, we'd love for you to give us another shot! — Best, Michael, Managing Partner
