Getting ready to re-launch The People's Medicine Community at its new home this weekend. Wow, such a large checklist to follow! This will be the most major upgrade to the platform since it was originally designed & built in 2005! Fingers crossed

+Fineas Smith No I'm not, but my site has faced a few challenges relating to policy, and we've implemented a number of measures in order to remain compliant. (The nature of our site drugs / medical content can sometimes be a gray area).

It was good meeting you & thank you for your kind words. While we don't currently have a dedicated service for pet medications, we do have some threads on the site which people did start regarding their pet's meds. Wow your pooch is a ripe old age - I hope that ours can live that long!

Very interesting - Washington post published info about NASA's Grail lunar mission: They will be gathering lots of high res imagery from the far side of the moon. They included a link to a NASA photo located at http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/620251main_grail20120201-full.jpg - after looking at the photo I found a strange shape in one of the craters. Let's all speculate what that can be LOL ... ;) Original article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/post/the-full-snow-moon-comes-tuesday-and-see-the-far-side/2012/02/06/gIQABmiNuQ_blog.html

Anyone know the ingredients in Strovite Advance?
MedsChat originally shared:

Community Discussion: "The ingredients in this multivitamin do not appear to be listed anywhere online. I'm not sure why this is, but it may be a product that is manufactured outside of the U.S. and that would explain the lack of information available on it.From what I could gather, this is the only thing listed for active ingredients:"multiple vitamins with minerals"I would recommend contacting the manufactured that you purchased your Strovite (iron free) from and ask whether or not their other product contains similar ingredients. I don't see why they wouldn't be able to provide you with a list of ingredients over the phone or through email if you have ordered from them before.Alternatively, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. And as a last resort, you could ask them about getting the pills ingredients lab tested and brought back to you. I hope this helps!"

From our forums: "Okay,my opinion,First-Vermon,thank you for all your advice, websites, your opinions, suggestions and just kind words.I,too,am a chronic pain patient.I've been on some sort of narcotic since 1995 due to RSD/CRSPS from a 'botched' ankle surgery.Currently I am prescribed Max6-10/325mgPerc & 4-10mgMethadone per day & I'm very near the point where they are not helping with the pain--at all.I wake in the morning and lay in bed,on the couch & wait for the evening bed time to come around again.I'm seriously in pain. When you say addiction, explain what that means.Yes I take narcotics & I think my body is at the point where what I take in a day just isn't enough,is my body just too used to this size/mg & my body needs more or am I addicted? These things confuse me.Like others on this forum,I'm afraid to 'discuss' different medicine options with my doc,who I've been with since Sept 1995,afraid that he will think that I just want more to get 'high'.I do not & don't think I ever have been 'high' on any of my RXs--Is that a good thing or bad thing? I'm thinking of discussing Opana's with my pain doctor, what is your opinion on Opana's vs percocet vs dilaudid vs methadone vs morphine vs fentanyl vs ETC? I really value your opinion&suggestions and would really appreciate a reply from you. Thank you again for your time and knowledge. It is appreciated by me. TakeCare,BeWell&StaySafe"

Community Discussion: "I have also been on Savella for a year and seven months. At first the side effects were so bad I thought I would have to stop. I tried to go off of it after taking it for 2 months, and the pain and fatigue were so bad, I just had to go back on. It has literally given me my life back. I deal with the side effects as best I can. I never take the morning or evening dose on an empty stomach. That helps with the nausea, which has gotten better over time. I take my morning pill after I work out because it makes my heart beat too fast. I deal with the hot flashes as a necessary evil, and when I work out I sweat way more than everyone else. But, it is worth it to me. I also started taking Protandim like another person posted on January 15. This has Also helped me. I have so much more energy, and as a result, my husband has also started to take it."

First, let me say that the final product is absolutely top notch, and people are SO impressed when I hand them a translucent plastic business card instead of a traditional paper one. I'm told things like "wow, this is so neat!" and "I'm actually going to keep this card!". So in that respect I feel like it has already paid for itself. Working with the company was also a pleasure - they were very prompt, professional, and flexible with my needs. They made themselves available via phone and email for any questions which I had, and did not have any issues with the fact that I'm a little "OCD" and revised my design about half a dozen times LOL. Needless to say I will definitely be doing business with them moving forward :D
