We would like to announce the arrival of a new physician to our team. Dr. Norman Salem will be joining us as a full-time physician and we are very excited. He has a great bedside manner and brings with him a broad range of medical knowledge. All of our providers are board certified and capable of seeing people of all ages.

Dr. Salem was born and raised in the metro-Detroit area. He completed a family medicine residency at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio and decided to return to his hometown to help serve that area. He is board certified in family medicine and he also has past experience in urgent care. He is very excited to join the PrimeCare team.

PrimeCare Urgent Care is now a "Certified Urgent Care" which means that we have proven that we provide a high level of care. It was important for us to obtain this and we think this is a starting point. Having met the standard minimum is not enough, we will continue to work hard to be the best we can be. This does not change what we do, rather reinforces our mission. Thank you for supporting us!

Since the day we opened our office, we have asked our wonderful reception to call every patient that leaves our urgent care.

We have learned a tremendous amount of information by doing this and continually improve our Urgent Care in Novi.
One thing we learned is that patients really love it when we call them.

Another thing we learned was that we are better able to recognize when a patient needs extra care by having better communication.

Poor antibiotic prescribing practices in hospitals can needlessly put patients at risk for Clostridium difficile infection (deadly diarrhea) and future drug-resistant infections. In the latest Director’s Briefing video, CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden calls on all U.S. hospitals to improve antibiotic prescribing practices. http://bit.ly/1hTc131 #VitalSigns
