Yesterday I slotted two dulcimer fingerboards. The top fingerboard is zircote and the bottom is bubinga. Zircote has many of the qualities of ebony but it is lighter in weight, which in my opinion is a good thing.  Zircote also has wild, lacy figure and color streaks I find stunning. I'm a musician and luthier. I make Appalachian mountain dulcimer and other instruments.

I sing and play dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, clawhammer banjo, tinwhistle, harmonium and a few other instruments.

I perform, teach and offer workshops on all of the above at festivals, etc.
