Stay Safe This Halloween! What are your plans this Halloween? What strategies will you use to avoid drugs? http://1.usa.gov/1zNdxiN
Halloween is a time when there are lots of parties, so be smart. If you need a ride home, make sure the driver is sober.

#DrugFacts: 36% of high school seniors do not view smoking marijuana as harmful. http://ow.ly/HR3NE
This year’s Monitoring the Future Survey of drug use and attitudes among American 8th, 10th, and 12th graders continues to show encouraging news, with decreasing use of alcohol, cigarettes, and misuse of prescription pain relievers; stable rates of marijuana use among teens; decreasing use of inhalants and synthetic drugs, including K2/Spice and Bath Salts; and a general decline over the last two decades in the use of illicit drugs.

Every day teens are bombarded with images, lyrics, and information about drugs and drug abuse—and lot of it is bogus. It’s time to shatter these myths – ask questions and get honest answers during National Drug Facts Week.
Introduction
Mission
National Drug Facts Week (NDFW) is a health observance week for teens. The goal of NDFW is to shatter the myths about drugs and drug abuse. NDFW encourages community based events that give teens a physical or virtual space to ask questions about drugs and get factual answers from a scientific expert. NDFW is an initiative of the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA), which supports most of the world’s research on the health aspects of drug abuse and addiction.
