Does anyone know if Plastic Man/Eel has show up in any New 52 books since the one Forever Evil appearance?

So Facebook finally forced that Graph thing on me, and man, I don't like it at all. AT ALL. Has G+ woken up yet?

"I really am hoping for a Superman that's optimistic, that wants to save the day and not just beat up crooks while growling in a weird voice." Exactly! Thanks for articulating what I've been groping with. I don't mind a Superman who wrestles with identity, his place in a world never truly his own, and abilities that will fover make him alien - he is, after all, only human (wink). In a way, he's more an orphan than Bruce Wayne, and I expect that to weigh on him.

But, as has been pointed out by a lot of people (and Supes' own S-shield, apparently), Superman is about hope, an optimism that things will be OK - not necessarily for himself, but for the greater good. Superman is all about sacrifice.

I also completely agree with your examples; "All-Star Superman" is probably one of the best Superman stories ever, and certainly one of my favorites. And of course the classics "For the Man Who Has Everything" and "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?" are dark and heartbreaking and essential.

I guess I don't want a Superman who grins like an idiot all the time - I just don't want a Superman who acts forever constipated.

By the way, have you noticed there hasn't been any Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter, in the previews? Do you think he'll show up at the very end as part of his transition into the everyday world?
