Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides.
Experience The Farm at Walnut Creek during the winter months in a two Percheron horse open sleigh! Whether it is a quiet romantic moonlit ride, or a family, church or corporate outing, the sleigh ride will be a “winter wonderland” experience in Amish Country.
As you arrive, we will greet you in our parking lot with the sleigh piled high with blankets to keep you warm. We will sleigh past the horse barn then on to the rolling hills of our 120 acres. Your breath will be taken away by the peacefulness and serenity of the area. Many of the animals; such as, llamas, American bison, yak, deer, elk etc... will come to the sleigh allowing you to feed them. As the ride continues, you will visit giraffes, zebras, Brahmas, watusi and cockatoos who are spending the winter in a heated barn. When your ride is complete you will have the opportunity to stop in the main house for hot cocoa, coffee, or tea..
Note. The availability of sleigh rides depends on snow accumulation and weather conditions. Come and Feed the Animals...

JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM

Dec 2 2016 - Dec 3 2016

Experience the sights and sounds that Joseph and Mary may have experienced as they journeyed to Bethlehem. Some of the activities of the journey include registering for taxation, just as Mary and Joseph did, and experiencing the Bethlehem marketplace. Participants will also meet biblical characters and share a fireside with shepherds and their flocks. The journey ends with a live Nativity scene.

Stops may be visited in any order. Both walking and driving is required. Admission is free and no pre-registration is required. Hours each day are 4pm to 8pm.

The first stop on the Journey (new this year) is Walnut Creek Mennonite Church at 2619 County Road 144, Sugarcreek, OH, 44681. Stop here first to register and receive a map of the other stops.

For more information, please call 330-893-4200 or 330-893-2926.

OPEN Labor Day 2016!!!

Located near the heart of Amish Country in Ohio, The Farm at Walnut Creek hosts over 500 animals, comprised of species from six of the seven continents. Our menagerie includes exotic animals such as giraffes, camels, zebras, and kangaroos along with more common animals like horses, llamas, buffaloes and deer. Visitors have the opportunity to view and hand-feed the animals from a conventional car or a horse-drawn carriage. You can also get close to some of the animals in our petting area.

We are a working farm and as such, the type of activities visitors may witness during a visit change with the seasons. Depending on the time of year, you may see plowing, thrashing, canning, quilting and more. You can tour our non-electric farm houses, buy produce at our farm stand, and take pictures of all that you see. The Farm is a fun and educational experience for people of all ages.

Take a moment to relax and enjoy life at a slower pace here in Ohio's Amish Country.
