Save Watford Met campaign is not opposed to the link per se provided services to Watford Met are maintained. But if the real idea is opening up more areas of Watford with better public transport (without detriment to those which are currently well served)…

Has MLX hit the buffers (again)? The @metline line #extension to #Watford Junction appears to have been cancelled

While it would be a shame if the [unconfirmed] inference that the Metropolitan Line Extension to Watford Junction may have been dropped as a business plan priority for TfL, we would not really be surprised if this is not such a priority for London and…

The best ideas are the simplest. Save on costly and ugly rail viaduct...check; new rail link to Vicarage Road & Cassiobridge (with more frequent shuttle)...check; Easy link to fast services at Watford Junction...check; Watford Met saved...check; save on local traffic congestion...check; revive ailing #CroxleyRailLink benefit/cost ratio...check.

In truth most of the traffic on the Link would be eastbound (no-one exactly relishes the thought of a 50+ minute trundle into London on the Metropolitan Line anyway). Everyone's a winner! Here would be something to really croon about Richard Harrington and +Dorothy Thornhill!
