Domingo Rogers, known to his friends and family as either Mingo or Dom, is consistently knowledgeable, consultative, credible, and an individual that tackles all tasks with dedication and persistence.

In March of 2006,  when the economy began to slip in Michigan, Domingo moved his wife and five kids to North Carolina where he had recently landed a ground-breaking position as Training Advisor in a North East territory at Global Knowledge, Inc (a leader in Information Technology, Business Process and Project Management training).  For two years he worked as an IT Training Advisor assisting individuals and companies within portions of New York in the process of scheduling knowledge training or certification preparation courses. Here he made a strong emphasis on bettering his negotiation skills with upper level management customers (CEO’s, CIO’s, and VP’s).  He also dealt with middle management customer contacts in helping them maximize their available training budgets by utilizing savings programs and limited promotions. Through building strong relationships with his customers and leveraging economy of scale Domingo was able to ramp up his sales territory and gain a firm foundation within Global Knowledge’s corporate structure.

After establishing himself as a key Training Advisor for public enrollment at Global Knowledge, Domingo was promoted to join the Enterprise Sales team.  Here he focused on working with department managers and project leaders to deliver tailored and customized training for groups at customer locations.  With a year of working with this division of Global Knowledge, Domingo moved into a role in the Mid-Atlantic region where he achieved a one-hundred+ percentage of quota by the end of September 2010!  With these achievements and that of continuing his personal and corporate growth, he turned his focus to and landed the position of ARRA Program Analyst.

As a ARRA Program Analyst, Domingo closed out 2010 with the focus of helping other teams, throughout Global Knowledge, to aggressively hunt and land opportunities that had been previously overlooked and under pursued.   Many governmental programs, particularly in the area of healthcare were a focus leading into 2011.

Had a chance to visit Fox Liquor Bar recently and I was very impressed. The service was superb and the drinks were fantastic. The bar sports a mixture of concrete and brick was and is furnished with leather chairs and couches. I highly recommend this bar!

I had the sincere pleasure of enjoying a fantastic cup of cappuccino and great live music at Sola recently. John and Jeanne, the owners of Sola, along with their team are fantastic! Not only does Sola have great coffee, they also have a limited selection of beer, wine, along with other non-alcoholic drinks, such as soda and juice. Though I didn't have a chance to sample their food, a loyal patron that I happen to strike up a very lively conversation with, highly recommended the Southwestern chicken sandwich and their mixed greens salad. I will be trying one or both of these when I return! The atmosphere at Sola is really unique. I learned the building they are in used to be a bank and you can actually see the area that used to be the bank vault! Artwork by local artisans hang on the walls through the cafe and there is even a little corner area decorated with some antiques and Americana. I should mention that I didn't learn that Sola Coffee Cafe was voted the 32nd America’s Best Coffee Shop as published by The Daily Meal. I would have to agree that Sola is very very good and I truly look forward to returning soon.

I had the privilege in going to Dame's Chicken & Waffles recently and was completely blown away by the food! Never in a million years would I have ever expected chicken and waffles together to taste so fantastically good! Since we had a party of five and because we hadn't called to make reservations, we had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table. The waitress we had, (I'll put her name down later) was excellent and did a great job in explaining how to go about ordering and gave some great recommendations. The food came out relatively quickly and again as I said before, the food was superb! I enjoyed The Barnyard Honcho with a side of their famous macaroni and cheese. Everyone in our party was very pleased with their food with some people ordering additional chicken legs and side of macaroni for later. I highly recommend Dame's and I will be back again very soon!

I recently had a chance to visit the London Bridge Pub and had an enjoyable time. I attended a local Cause for Paws event and was pleasantly impressed with the service. They have a great drink selection including local brews and mainstream beers. Only two areas where I personally think they could improve is by offering some bar food and Wifi for their patrons. I'll be back to enjoy a cold beverage in the future!

I had the opportunity to first visit the Train Station Bar & Grill on a relaxed night recently. When you walk into the establishment you have two sides you can choose to enjoy. There is the restaurant side on the left that is decorated with pictures of classic and iconic Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and Elvis photos. Their is also a bar that stretches in a U-shape from the restaurant side around to the "official" bar side of the establishment. On this side you'll find a dance floor, pool tables, dart boards, a skee ball game and several other arcade games. I had the pleasure of being primarily served by Amanda, who did a great job recommending food and beers to try. I also had the pleasure of meeting another barmaid, Chloe, and the General Manager Ben. All the waitstaff were awesome, personable and attentive. I enjoyed the Katy Flyer, with fries and later ordered a half size of their pickle chips. The side of ranch they server with their pickle chips must be made in house because it wasn't runny like so many other restaurants! I highly recommend the Train Station and look forward to heading back again to visit on a busier night to see what it's like when they have a DJ and more people!

Had the pleasure of being served by Emma last night. She served us as a party of eight. She was attentive, gave great recommendations and very pleasant with all of us. I enjoyed Buffalo Chicken with the addition of bacon (special order) wrap with a side of pickle chips. I highly recommend this! I will be back again and look forward to enjoying another great meal!

This Ruckus location prides itself in being a bar that serves great food, but they above all else are a great bar! Had the pleasure of being served at this Ruckus location by Sara, Brandon 1, Brandon 2 (in the kitchen) and Molly. I went on a night that they had open mic night (Tuesday) and my experience was fantastic! Sara had some great beer recommendations, Brandon in the kitchen made me a great calzone and Brandon the bar tender on duty when we arrived provided us with great service! I will be definitely heading back to see them!
