I've powered up the HTPC with my new Aerocool touch fan controller with 2 of the four fan cables attached (removed the ones not required) and no temperature sensors plugged in because a) there are far too many cables, b) they require sellotaping down to the relevant areas of the computer and c) I don't need to know the temps since the computer reports those perfectly fine.
Of course, without the temp sensors the controller fails over to max speed with no capability to control it.
So it's either plug in those silly little sensors and clutter the case with more wiring, or go back to the old manual controller which provides no visibility over fan speeds, but was working perfectly fine otherwise..
I think I'll revert back.
Until I "pull down to refresh" I don't see a thing... for up to hours.
Has anyone tried it with one or more people? If not, I might set something up to compare it with this week.
The worst kind.
