Hey Internet! Jaroslav Flegr, of Toxoplasma gondii fame, has been profiled before his story began tearing up the Atlantic's website. I wrote a long feature about Flegr five years ago, while a staff writer at the Prague Post:

You'll see some, ah, thematic similarities to the Atlantic piece, I'll say; it also features Joanne Webster and E. Fuller Torrey, among others. Since Flegr's research is far from conclusive, though -- causation is tough to divine -- we didn't see it as right to milk the "cat is making you crazy" angle. Our loss.
