Is Concord too slow? Are you using Internet Explorer?

We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with Concord Desktop or Concord Online. The other supported browsers are Firefox (firefox.com), Google Chrome (google.com/chrom) or Safari.

You can change your internet browser in Concord Desktop by clicking Preferences or Settings in the Concord Control Panel and then selecting a new browser from the list (keep in mind you need to have the browser installed on your computer for Concord to generate it in the list of available browsers, download them from the links above).

Concord Online users, just open a new browser and go to concordworks.com to log in.

How do I know if I need Concord Desktop or Concord Online?

Are you ever in a situation when you will need Concord but might not have an internet connection? Do you always have your computer with you? Then Concord Desktop is your answer. It does not require an internet connection and saves all files directly to your computer and they can always be accessed.

Do you travel a lot and don't necessarily have your computer with you? Will you always have an internet connection when you need to use Concord? Then Concord Online was made for you! It is available only with an internet connection and can be accessed by logging in at concordworks.com from any computer that is connected to the internet. You can sign up at concordworks.com/trial for your free 14-day trial and monthly subscription for $5.99.

Do both versions do the same things or are they different?

The functionality of both versions is essentially identical. There are minor differences in how files are saved (Concord Online saves to the internet while Concord Desktop saves files directly to your personal computer). Another difference is that Concord Online offers a document history function that can recover lost work, while Concord Desktop does not. Other than that, they are the same.

How do I sign up for Concord Online?

Please go to concordworks.com/trial to sign up for Concord Online. Once you sign up you will be offered a free 14-day trial (everyone gets it, so even if you don't want it, it's our gift to you), and then if you wish to continue the subscription it is $5.99/month.

How do I update my Concord Desktop version 1.0 (released in 2009) to version 2?

Please go to concordworks.com/desktop and follow the installation instructions to install the latest version of Concord Desktop. You will need your Desktop License Code that came with your software package to complete the installation.
