Inspired by its namesake French port city. Marseille creates, exciting, flavorful, and authentic cuisine celebrating its mix of French, Italian, Greek, and North African influences.

Pre-theater standby turning out French-Mediterranean staples in an upscale brasserie setting.- Google
"She had moules frites (mussels and fries) for her main which she really liked."
"Well located French bistro food."

recommended by friends so I went in despite the din and relatively low (21) Zagaat food rating. I HAD A HORRIBLE MEAL : the stuffed artichokes were tasteless and salty, the bouillabaisse didn't have a good variety of fish and the broth disappointed on many levels and was also too salty. The waiters were friendly and efficient. the best part of the meal was a good roll provided w/butter and olive oil and the San Pelligrino sparkling water. They need a new chef! The Zagaat food rating should be dropped to 17 based on my experience!

Fantastic meal. Sure it's a crowded, noisy Manhattan restaurant. The food was excellent and service quite nice. We had theater tix and they got us in and out in under 90 minutes with 3 courses and not feeling rushed. The price was less than expected for the quality.

Don't usually expect much in the theatre district, so this exceeded our expectations. Good wine list and well prepared food with usual French service! Will definitely come back.

On a VERY crowded Christmas Night Marseille out did themselves! We had tickets to Kinky Boots and the staff at Marseille went out of their way to ensure our dinner was complete in time for the theater!!! Fantastic! Food was just as great. The "BEST" Duck I have ever had! Wow!

Well located French bistro food. Great for our theater. Excellent cocktails and wine list. I went for the Stinky Cheese Week dinner. Loved the halibut! Tasty spot for brunch! Really great service.

Nice surroundings and a great wine choice from $42 to $3000! Service is somewhat creepy for my liking. Food selection good varied and the portion sizes good. My wife had the 'hanger au poivre ' but found it lacking in flavour.

Warm atmosphere, interesting menu, exhaustive wine list, and adequate service - make this place a standard for the pre-theater crowd, and one choice among many for everyone else. The place has strange acoustics, and the tables built around the whole floor, which makes it look a little chaotic, but overall it is well lit, well maintained and quite clean. The wait staff alternates between over-attentiveness and standoffish; nothing in particular, but we were asked a couple times for a wine order, and then had to ask for a passing staff member to refill our glasses more than once. It's the little things that stand out, because in reality the cuisine was good, there were varied options, and it was reasonably priced (given the location, and the aesthetic they were trying to mimic).
