This does an ok job at explaining the need for metaphors in IT.
I think in needs to be expanded and actually use a metaphor to explain why IT needs metaphors!!! A sort of meta-metaphor!

I was thinking religion is a common ground to work with that most people can grasp and work with. Just worried about he back lash by the sensitive types.... Hmmm must think this through.

Jquery is an awesome tool. Sorry to hear that it's now being abused.

It does provide a reminder why users (any users) should not be admin.

If there's just one more moment to double think installing a random popup, I'm grateful.

Somebody in our department is trying to shadow the "coders" so that they can learn to program.

This person and anyone else needs to understand the logic of how programming works first. I was lucky enough to find a student today that had this book. She's approaching her class right! I wish I'd thought to ask here what class may require her to read this as they're going about it correctly.
