Get your kids some training...it can save their life. "... (he) tried to take an 11-year-old girl who reportedly fought back, biting and screaming at him." http://ow.ly/AyLc30mgJ8t
Oh yea...he was already a registered offender. Shocking.

As a reminder...with all the evil people seemingly bubbling to the surface lately, here's a simple reminder to stay alert. Prepared, not paranoid.

Another case of a registered sex offender re-offending.

This young lady fought for life. Never give up, always fight. She also instinctively knew something was wrong before it happened. Pay attention to your 6th sense folks, it has your best interests at heart. http://ow.ly/cc5S30l9rVE

DISCUSSION: Read the article and watch the video. IMO, the man was clearly within his rights to defend himself, but was far from the point of using deadly force to do so...at least at that point in time.
I believe the State DA will decide to charge the man, and in my opinion should.
Alternate discussion: How should he have defended himself instead of firing his weapon? What options did he have? How might better firearms training have changed this outcome?

I don't know how they got in (assuming unlocked) or the why the driver got in, but as a reminder it only takes 5 sec's to check your back seat from a safe angle before getting in your car. We talk about this in our car-jacking workplace safety seminars. https://bit.ly/2L5gXcG
